Compassion and caring
I remember her willingness to hear my story. I found Dr. Awad compassionate and kind. I look forward to seeing her again, May 3.

Horrible Doctor
My interactions with Dr Awad were awful. She does not care about her patients. All she wants to do is throw a bunch of different medications at you and does not care if you have to quit them cold turkey regardless of how life threatening the withdrawal side effects are. I had to come off a medicatio old Turkey. Because her and the office would not work with me to get what the insurance company needed in time. I was horribly sick for almost two months because of the withdrawal side of effects and almost ended up in the hospital. You are just a number to her. Your mental health journey does not matter. She'll just ask you the same couple of questions every time basically about your childhood. She told me I just need to make friends, like okay super simple for Someone struggling with severe anxiety and depression. I am left traumatized after my experience with this doctor. Please do yourself a favor and avoid her at all costs. Mount auburn is a great hospital but bringing her as part of

My intake visit with Dr Awad was the most uncomfortable I've ever felt with a doctor. She jumped to intense conclusions about my relationship and personal life based on a surface understanding of the situation and did not listen to me when I tried to clarify. At one point I told her that I can be susceptible to unhealthy power dynamics because of my fear of rejection, and it almost felt like she used that against me and leveraged her authority to bluntly reject my perspective outright. She seemed to genuinely care about helping me, but from a place of being so intensely invested in her own superficial assumptions that it became a very unhelpful mess. If there's nuance to your situation and you want to feel heard about it, I recommend looking elsewhere.

I have never been treated so poorly by a doctor then I have by Lily Awad. She is a bully who uses her authority to dictate your treatment. I saw her for a year and every appointment her back was to me and she asked the same 4 questions. This review is limited to 500 characters so I can't go into full detail but avoid her at all costs. Her diagnosis of my 'adhd' consisted of a 10 question quationaire she found online and she believes pesticides and GMOs cause major health problems.
