WARNINGG Worst delivering doctor EVER
I’ve been waiting YEARS to write this traumatic x2birthing experiences because I didn’t want to relive my pain. I had both my kids at mount auburn hospital. 1st was in 2007. I was 18yo &tiny body frame. My baby was sunny side up and was stuck. Dr. Macdonald and a male doctor attempted to yank him out w/a vacuum and then Dr. M. ultimately rolled me off for a c-section. I was LIVID that they didn’t figure this out sooner after the first attempt. Recovery was so painful. I ended up leaving that practice only to run into again in 2014. I gave birth at MAH and w/awful luck Dr M. was the on call doctor that day. My new OB doc from a different practice planned repeat c-section but Dr M. INSIST natural. She didnt listen to the birth plan and FORCED me to do a VBac even though my baby was sunny side up like my last one. She used a vac and tore her out of me. In 2018 I delivered my last baby at Baystate hospital via c-sec. As planned thank god they have good doctors in western MA who LISTEN!

Dr. MacDonald was my ob prior to her delivering my twins well over a decade ago. She has always taken the time to explain everything to me. More recently was having heavy bleeding for over two years and it was just getting worse. She gave me plenty of options and was always supportive. I finally had surgery and it was the best decision. She is kind, knowledgeable, does not judge and her staff is great. Highly recommend.

My normal pregnancy was a piece of cake for her. She books 3-4 patients per hours and she doesn't remember my big decision on natural birth. She did not have the time to explain nurse service during delivery. So I decide to switch to midwife near the end of my pregnancy to prepare for natural birth, which she did not take well. Later, Dr. MacDonald came to my delivery room to congratulate me. I initially thought that was a nice gesture, but she billed me for $150 for her 5-min congratulation.

Dr. MacDonald treated my problems with uterine fibroids with compassion, respect for my questions and concerns, and with high technical skill (ultimately I had uterine artery embolization).
