I am an RN and I also have been having regular Colonoscopy for years due to a family history of colon cancer. Dr Espinel is the best doctor I have ever been to. He has done thousands of colonoscopies and is extremely competent. If I could give him ten stars I would! He listened to my family history intently and asked good questions. He’s also got a great sense of humor as well aa good listener, puts a patient at ease. I can’t recommend him highly enough! Wonderful A+++ doctor!

Dr. Espinel is not only an extremely skilled surgeon but he is a promoter of good health. Bedside manner is delightful and is able to explain things in a way that most will understand. If you ever require emergency surgery at Stone Springs Hospital, you will be in good hands.

Dr. Espinel Jr. provides superior laparoscopic expertise, professionalism and above all sincere care for his patients. We are blessed to have encountered Dr. Espinel in the midst of a difficult journey with my father’s cancer. He consistently goes above and beyond to follow-up, personally coordinate care, consults and follow-ups. If not for his intervention we would have waited months for consults while in a significant degree of pain. He is competent, patient, and genuine.

My experience with military and civilian care over 7 decades includes multiple surgeries and health issues. Dr. Espinel is easily the best doctor I have encountered. Before and after operating on me twice including pancreatic cancer surgery, Dr Espinel has astonished me with the care he has taken at every step, including personally following up long after my care passed to my oncologist. I have never met a more gifted caregiver or one who is more dedicated to his patient.

Procedure: bilateral inguinal herniaI, female
I went to Dulles for my consult with symptoms of 1 hernia, but Dr. Espinel informed me I had 2--one on either side--and I was booked for surgery that day. Yay! For my first surgery, I feel I picked just the right place + staff to get me through it. My preop nurse, Michelle, was SO kind/patient, explained everything. IV done perfectly. Anesthesiologist A+. Postop nurses Marlene & Lisa were wonderful. Dr. Espinel rocked it and I'm on the mend. Thanks!

Hey Everyone:
This guy is the real deal folks.
My physician recommended him Monday. I met him at his office Tuesday. I had surgery Wednesday. Thursday, I went back to work.
I had no pain. I only took Ibuprofen and Tylenol. I iced the area twice per the instructions.
Today, nine days after surgery, I swam a competitive mile in the pool.
I'm on the road to recovery. Dr. Espinel and his staff get my vote 100%.
I had a terrific, successful, pain free experience. Hope you will too.
