How can a lay-person evaluate the capabilities of their doctor? Perhaps by results. I have been Dr. Potempa's patient for 12 years; but during that time his analysis and treatment has served me well. I was initially rated as having stage lV kidney disease and today, at age 85, I feel great and my kidney failure appears little worse for the additional years of service. My only regrets have been my inability to get him to chuckle, or laugh. Even smiles are rare. Medically speaking however, he also gets good reports from other doctors in the area and has a good reputation.
