Ruined me
I had three surgeries with him at the helm and now I can hardly walk and never went back to work. He apologized for what he did to me but still did it to me.

I have an existing condition ankylosing spondylitis and 20 years ago today I cracked my spine six doctors turn the operation down Dr Nelson accepted it and 20 years later I'm doing as good as I could possibly be doing Dr Nelson is wonderful thank you for keeping me going without you I wouldn't be here 20 years later to say what I'm saying and to feel the way I feel you did a wonderful job I can no way say anything but good things about you! When you consider I had to have a complete back fusion this is just amazing that 20 years later I'm still here doing everything I did before thanks to you Dr Nelson thank you again

Dr. Nelson has helped me with my chronic back pain. He has been very transparent and provided enough information for my wife and I to trust our decision to have surgery. We feel he is very a trustworthy, caring and extremely competent surgeon. I would definitely seem him again and recommend him to my family and close friends.

After being misdiagnosed by 2 surgeons I was directed to Dr Nelson by a chance meeting with a Radiologist on vacation....Dr Nelson read my MRI and was puzzled by the other Docs...my L5-S1 was totally worn out. Performed L5-S1 fusion by ALIF. I was walking up stairs with'in 24hrs and on my way home in 46hrs. 5 Months later he teamed with Dr Kenneth Rich to perform a T11-T12 Fusion by XLIF and again I was walking out of Rex in 46hrs. Dr Nelson is a skilled Spine Surgeon from my results. Thanks Doc

I care for a relative who does not speak English. The doctors at urgent care sent us to him because she was not recovering. He is very flippant and unprofessional. He wrote on the form that she had full range of motion and normal strength without examining her at all. He told her recovery would take months but wrote to her employer that she'd need just a little help for the next 2 weeks. He said "She has to get back to work." A doctor's priority should be that the patient is well.

Dr. Nelson is single-handedly the most incompetent and frankly rude doctor I've think I've ever had the displeasure of seeing. His only advice was to tough out the pain in my back and that the back is very mysterious. I asked him after his whole the back is mysterious speech if he knew what I specifically hurt in my back and his response was to say I've been talking to you for the last 15 minutes. Have you not been listening to a thing I said. do yourself a favor and find another doctor.

After suffering with sciatic pain and a ruptured disc, I went to Dr Nelson for a surgical consultation. He explained the surgery he would perform, why I was a good candidate, and what to expect. I had the surgery a month ago and feel 10 years younger.
