Being seen for extreme migraines. I was told by my obgyn to ask about a possible pituitary tumor due to high prolactin levels. He dismissed the idea and tried to prescribe medicine twice that I was allergic to. I went to my primary doctor who ordered the MRI and turns out I do have a pituitary tumor. I was made to feel crazy under his care.

My sister suffered with seizures as well as behaviourable issues her entire life. After trying every drug on the market and spending years suffering, she was referred to Dr. Stein. Dr. Stein worked with her and came up with a combination of drugs that actually worked. She went from 20 or more seizures daily to 0. She was seizure free for 20 to 25 years until her demise. Yes, the office wait is not easily tolerated, but the results afforded us much relief, and we are forever grateful for his expertise in giving her back a life.

I always have a minimum of a 2 hour wait when I come here. The staff is great and the office is nice, but the wait is ridiculous! Once I finally see Dr. Stein, it is only for 5 minutes and then I’m rushed out. It is not worth my time and will be seeking a new doctor!

My wife had her 1st appointment with Dr. Stein today. I took her and went through the entire appointment with her. The reviews that we had read caused us some concern. I know that this was our first visit but I have rarely been this impressed with a Doctor. He took his time and ask a thousand question and made several pages of notes---put her through a series of mental test and worked out a schedule for further testing, including visits to two other specialist. He was concerned for her wellbeing

I've been a patient for 10 yrs. Each visit I have to wait at least 2-3 hours to see Dr. Stein. The most recent visit, I had a list of concerns and side effects I wanted to discuss- I didn't even get through my list before he rushed out the door once his 5 minutes with me were up. I did leave with a change in medication, but who knows if it's really what I needed or not since he didn't have time to listen to me. I'd like a doc who will take time to listen- especially after I've waited over 2 hrs.

When planning an appointment, go ahead and take all day off work because you will get called back an hour after your appointment and then you won't see Dr. Stein for another 30-45 minutes after being called back. A good doctor, but not worth spending half your day waiting on him

The day of initial visit, which was a "work in" appt, I was impressed and pleased. However, getting needed tests ordered/done took a month. We still do not have the test results and that has been over a week ago. Also, during that month, my daughter suffered severe headaches from the medication he placed her on. She called the office numerous times to request a new medication. It took over two weeks to get this taken care of. In my opinion, this is totally unacceptable and negligent !!

Overall a great neurologist, but after eight years under his care he has become complacent in his instructions. He is horrible at pain management. He has rarely deviated from his opinion and it takes several visits for him to consider new treatment (as in listening to new changes in symptoms). It has become so irritating that I am considering firing him as my neurologist. His staff, however, is wonderful.
