Would not recommend at all!
At the age of 11, my daughter began to experience extremes in hormones. Abnormal vaginal bleeding, cystic type acne and male pattern hair growth. The bare minimums were ordered-all normal. Dr. Sessler and her nursing staff made us feel like we were overreacting parents and dismissed our concerns. It couldn’t possibly be the rarest of possibilities, but the Dr. was not interested in finding the WHY! After a few months and a few more emotional calls to the office about something not being “Right”, the office told us if we needed a referral for laser hair removal, they could get that for us!!! Beyond upset-not nice words, we reached out to Lurie Children’s. 1 endocrinologist visit later-the right lab draw, and an invasive surgery to remove an adrenal tumor the size of an orange, she is now healthy! We wasted months of proper care for my daughter. Thankfully, it didn’t result in any serious injuries or worse! Stay strong for your child, ask questions and don’t accept less!

I saw Dr Sessler for my 12 week appointment and was very disappointed. I am explaining that I am throwing up multiple times a day, not keeping food or water down. I had been to the ER two days before for dehydration. That should be enough to concern any ob-gyn. I happened to mention that before pregnancy I was pursuing a gastric bypass and her eyes lit up. She went on about my weight for quite some time, told me to eat healthier and do more excercise. I'm infront of her struggling with vomitting and cannot keep anything down and she told me to eat healther, at this point how can a person eat healthier when they aren't eating? It felt like she wasn't listening or understanding that I was not in a place to be trying to get weight down, it was all I could do to get dressed and go to her. She also wanted us to drive an hour away for an ultrasound, because my bmi was a percentage over her cutoff and she send all her patients over 35 bmi to rockford for ultrasound, I do not recommend.

I haven't been to the doctor in over 4 years she asked me minimal questions about my general heath or concerns. She gave me a quick pelvic exam and asked her nurse to get me a card with a number on it to set up a mammogram. She told me I should lose 40 pounds and make sure I'm eating enough dairy. I am lactose Intolerant and 190 pounds 5'4 and 46 years old. She asked if I ate out a lot and about exercise - and I told her actually no we hardly ever eat out, I stopped drinking 6 weeks ago and I go for an occasional walk but don't have a gym membership or anything. Her only response was well not drinking will lower your calorie intake and ...well is it a brisk walk? because you need to walk briskly! I wanted her to talk to me about menopause and my colon health. I guess it's my fault for not demanding Abit more of her time and asking the right questions. But doctors know how uncomfortable it is to see them right? I mean it had been nearly 5 years for a reason!!! Will not be back
