I went to Dr. Richer for removal of a foreign body (1/2 cm fragment of Mesquite thorn that had broken off & remained lodged in the base of my 2nd toe for just over a year). To my surprise and frustration, it was a near impossible task just finding a podiatrist who: a) could even do the foreign body removal procedure; b) was affordable in terms of my time and money (my insurance didn’t cover most docs who do this procedure), AND c) had experience & success doing it in a LESS / MINIMALLY invasive manner. After 8 hours of calls, Dr. Richer was the ONLY one that fit the bill (some practices won’t even tell you whether or not the docs even do foreign body removal until you pay a $100+ consultation fee!). Dr. Richer did the procedure LOCALLY and in a SINGLE visit. The procedure was a success and a FRACTION of the downtime of what it would’ve been with a different doc. His staff is also AMAZING; caring & compassionate and treats you like a human VS just another statistic.
