The first time I felt heard at an OBGYN
I LOVE Dr. Kaminetzky. She takes the time to listen to your concerns, to ask thorough questions, and to make sure that you understand everything shared during your appointment. I had a traumatic time with ovarian cysts during my early 20s, and she was the first OBGYN that took me seriously when I said that birth control had to be causing them. She never forces any pills or treatments on me, but rather provides me with any info I need to make an informed decision, which I so appreciate. You will not regret seeing her!

The best
I have seen Dr. Kaminetzky for many years. When it came time to try having a baby she was the first one I spoke to about it. Then once pregnant she was the first one to confirm my pregnancy. Fast forward 9 months and she delivered my baby. She always listens to my concerns, respects and supports my choices, and makes me comfortable. I have recommended many people to see her and they love her too. When it comes to this area of health there is no one I trust more.

The absolute BEST
I only met Dr. Kaminetzky for the first time at my 39 week appointment, so I didn’t know her well when she walked into my delivery room a week later. When I tell you she was an absolute BLESSING in the delivery room, it’s an understatement. She made me feel comfortable and confident - she was so encouraging and coached me through the whole thing. She was absolutely incredible; and I am so sad that she is now at a different office… we moved before I delivered, and since she left APWHG, I switched to a more local doctors office. I am so incredibly sad I won’t have her as my doctor anymore… she was kind and knowledgeable and always made sure that I got all my questions answered - and never made me feel like they were silly, even though I know some of them were. You would be very lucky to have Dr. Kaminetzky as your doctor, I’m going to miss her immensely!!

I have no issue with Dr. Kaminetsky- she was professional and very nice. I saw her once and was going to return for another checkup. My problem is with Abington Health and their management of appointments. Every time you call to make an appointment you have to wait at least 30 - 45 minutes. A voice will tell you your position as music plays to give you your place in line. I ate a soft pretzel and a bag of chips and I was still #26 in line (don’t hang up!) The reason I was calling was because my original appointment was cancelled and I had to call to reschedule- so I waited over a half hour - Maybe more - for someone to tell me they only had one appointment left and the calendar was closed for the next two months -so please...... call back. Nooooo. I am 65 years old and have had 2 children. And I have NEVER experienced anything like your GYN appointment service. I wish you all well but I’m taking my you know what elsewhere.

Dr. Kaminetzky is such a kind, caring and compassionate doctor. She has a wonderful sense of humor and actually listens to all of your concerns and questions before you leave the appointment. I was scared during my pregnancy as I was admitted for induction 5 weeks early to deliver our 4 lb daughter. Dr. Kaminetzky walked into my hospital room and I cried the happiest tears. Knowing she would there every step of the way for the birth of my first child made me feel confident in our decision to once again deliver at Abington Jefferson. I ended up having to make a hard decision and have a C-section and Dr. Kaminetzky was there every step of the way to make me feel so comfortable even though I had to go completely against my birth plan. To this day I am so thankful she was on rotation that evening in Sept 2019. I schedule all of my appointments with her and she is also super pleasant And has a smile on her face. Going to the Gyno is no longer uncomfortable but a pleasant experience.

Dr Kaminetzky does NOT care about her patients health, just her bank account, apparently. She will do her very best to make sure that your insurance company is well paid, whether or not you can afford it.

I had a meet and greet with Dr. Kaminetzky just to get to know her since I have extreme and debilitating anxiety related to exams and my previous ob is moving. I cannot put into words how wonderful Dr. K is as a doctor and a person. She is so extraordinarily compassionate, personable, understanding, and comforting. Dr. K calmed every fear I had and just understood me and my fears without any judgement. Not only did she put me at ease but she also was able to laugh with me and my mom and treated us like humans instead of just another patient. I am so incredibly thankful for Dr. K and her kindness, and I would recommend her to anyone who is fearful about exams — she will work with you, meet you where you are, walk you through everything, take your fears seriously, and comfort you through the process. Thank you for everything, Dr. K!

Let me begin by making it clear I have nothing negative to say about Dr Kaminetzky. That is because I never got to see her. I made new patient appointments for myself & my daughter for March but told her my daughter was home from school & there was an issue I couldn't let wait until March. I knew I was a new patient & that was kind of tricky but I either wanted her to be seen or at least ask a couple questions to the Newtown, PA office where we'd be going. The appointment staff were very sweet & helpful. They said they would send a message with detail to the Newtown & someone would call me asap. I say "they" because I had to call 2 days in a row with the same request & was told twice the message would go to Newtown. Today is day 3 & I've still not received a call. I couldn't wait any longer so I found a different practice, made new appointments, got some advice for my daughter it was nothing major & then cancelled the appointments with Abington Primary Womens Health. Not good at all!

Dr. Kaminetzky was great. I’m asexual and have been avoiding going to a gynecologist for years. She was very understanding and talked me through the whole thing giving me extra time when I needed it. I would highly recommend her for anyone who is more sensitive to this type of appointment.

Dr. Leah Kaminetzky was phenomenal with me! She conducted my initial intake assessment in the Urogynecology department at Penn Medicine. Dr. Kaminetzky gave me her undivided attention, and took an appropriate amount of time to understand the reason for my visit. She communicated effectively and spoke to me in terms that I could understand, while remaining informative. Dr. Kaminetzky provided a sense of comfort during my assessment and exam, and maintained exceptional bedside manner.
