Bad experience
I have been delayed services two times because she doesn't understand the rare condition and the after effects. Said insurance didn't like to pay at the end of the year. So I could suffer at the least 6 more weeks. INSURANCE Said this is not true.

My husband started seeing Dr. Lucas after a hospitalization in 2018 from a pulmonary embolism. At first all went well with the visits and scheduling. Then last year when he was due for an Ultrasound no one called-he called the office repeatedly and finally had to stop in there to get an appointment scheduled. When he developed swelling again at the same site in his leg as before the embolism, he called the office to see about getting an Ultrasound done-it had been awhile since his last. No one called back that day. The next morning he called again and they said they would page Dr. Lucas. That was over 2 weeks ago and NO ONE has ever called back. This was not in reference to a cosmetic varicose vein issue, this was a patient who almost died earlier from a pulmonary embolism calling with concerns that another clot was forming in his swollen leg. How irresponsible and uncaring for no one from this office to respond to his calls. Needless to say he is going to see a new Vascular Dr.

About a year ago Jesus saved my life at the hands of doctor Lucas. she was able to clear and remove a clot from my main artery which almost spilled into my brain and could have killed me. several months later she removed the bad port that another doctor had botched and put a brand new port in and was able to remove scar tissue from the other Port site from another incompetent surgeon. thank God for Layla Lucas

This was my 2nd opinion doctor after my first one wasted 6 months and never figured out the problem. The first test she sent me for and that was the right one! The surgery was a breeze and she was great at explaining what was going on and also kept checking my comfort level.
