I have never encountered a more ignorant, dismissive and disrespectful doctor. Unprofessional, when attempting to ask questions about my husband's new diagnosis, treatment, and care.On multiple occasions, I tried to engage in discussions about his condition, but was met with a dismissive attitude, interruptions, and a lack of willingness to provide clear explanations. I believe it is essential to be an active participant in my or my family's care, ( of which she said and I quote 'I was trying to control things'! When we were asking questions and seeking information about his treatment. I wonder if she wouldn't ask questions if she was facing a life altering diagnosis? I expect my healthcare provider to be transparent, respectful, and willing to engage in open communication. She is incapable of any of that. fear that Dr. Garcia Puerto's inability to discuss her decisions in my husband's care stem from a lack of knowledge to back her choices and that's a scary concept for a doctor.

My mother has been admitted at West Kendall Baptist hospital since 2 weeks ago. The previous doctors did not evaluate her correctly. Dr. Garcia-Puerto was assigned to treat her yesterday. In 24hrs. Dr. Garcia-Puerto evaluated her, and very diligently, provided my mom with the right medical treatment and involved the gastroenterologist, the surgeon and the medical technicians that performed all the necessary tests. She is treating my mother with professionalism and compassion. I am very grateful!!! The care she provides is outstanding.

Horrible doctor. Wouldn’t recommend. I have sickle cell anemia and she completely took me off of pain management for emotional reasons. I am currently forming a lawsuit.
