One of my Worst Visits Ever
I've had literally thousands of doctor visits. This doctor lands in the top 3 worst of all time. Two appointments with this doctor. First visit: rushed, neurotic, I could hardly explain my problem. So the doctor prescribed numerous tests: EEG, MRI, Sonograms neck the then for temples, eyes forehead, shock treatment to lower legs and pin pricks in the lower legs. After completion, second visit, did he explain the results in any detail? Neck sonogram, yes. The others, no. End result, told me to see a neurosurgeon. Which I did and there I got a detailed, explanatory description of the MRI, something which Dr. Whicker did not go into in any detail. The other tests: absolutely no explanation of their significance or why they were done. I've moved on to another neurologist.

Doctors Should Retire
Absolute horrible visit. The staff was OK, but the experience with the doctor was a nightmare! He was a doctor that should have stepped away long ago. Just going through the motions with the bedside manor of a rock! Don’t waste your timeI do not recommend!!!

Hippocratic Oath mean anything to this practice?
I recieved a dismissal letter from Dr Whicker after one visit and can not comprehend what i did wrong. 1.I asked for a payment plan they said no. it is within their right. 2. i asked for a written copy of recommended tests - it is within my right. 3. i asked to talk to office manager she never called me, then I recieved certified letter from Whicker himself dismissing me from the practice after spending less than 10mins with me on my first visit. Since the office manager won't call me i have to say that you can not ask questions with these people. it is money upfront and do as you are told nothing is explained properly, they don't have time for you if you ask for help questions. i think they want the practice to be a revolving door or they may have too many patient at their door. Worse thing you cannot use different Dr. if one dismisses you for no apparant reason. Think carefully before you start your care with them, you may just be wasting your time and money if you have questions.

Dr Whicker was very thorough in his assessment of my problem. He explained the details in a very organized approach. Staff was great and very accommodating on the spot with additional tests that day. That was very convenient!

Extremely sharp and very willing to both ask me questions and listen to my input AND share issues/details of my tests. He really covered all possible bases in determining my issues; he quickly discoeverd the problem (but not his area so my regular MD would handle.)

I've had several appointments with Dr. Whicker and his staff. Most have been okay, but today's appointment was very disappointing. There was an issue with my insurance regarding whether or not I needed to pay a copay. No one informed me that I wouldn't be able to see the doctor until this was resolved. Had I known that, I would have just made the payment and sought reimbursement later. Instead they had me wait 30 minutes before telling me I should call my insurance company, which took another 20 minutes (the error was on my insurance company's end). Once I asked if this was stopping me from seeing the doctor and they said yes, I said I would pay and asked how I would be reimbursed if my insurance company confirmed that I don't have the copay. The front desk worker seemed uninterested in helping me as he never looked at me and gave curt responses. He said he would have to see if the doctor was even still available to see me (so yes, after I had waited an hour, there was the possibility

The entire experience is usually satisfactory and all my needs are met. Dr whicker could be a little more forthcoming with hopeful information, expand on things… He does answer all my questions, but you must ask them point-blank. And I love the portal. I trust him explicitly.

Dr. Wicker and member of his office (not his medical staff) were rude, dismissive, and invasive of my privacy. His back office staff could not understand or would not accept that a divorced woman could have two legal last names, that military procedures for changing names on records could differ from civilian ones, and that requesting personal legal paperwork when government issued federal and state level identification cards are offered is unnecessarily invasive harassment. Bottom line, when faced with the facts, Dr. Wicker issued one of those, "I'm sorry if you felt that...." non-apologies. When I pointed out that it wasn't an apology, he told me I should get another neurologist and that I should leave "now". Please avoid this practice at all costs.
