excellent care
Six weeks after receiving 20 stitches in my calf for a pit bull bite, my wounds were not healing well. I am thankful that after my initial visit to the wound center I am receiving excellent care from Dr. Sawicki and his staff. Now I feel confident that with continued wound care I am on the right track to healing.

Have had several appointments over past 2 months, and I have truly appreciated the detailed notes and the degree of communication achieved between doctor and nurse practitioner in order to give thorough continuity of care, which builds an element of trust between patient (me) and provider(s). This wound has kind of rocked my boat a bit, but I am so thankful that Dr. Sawicki is honest and straightforward, but is able to maintain the human element when discussing treatments and objectives, allowing me to discuss openly, as well. For example, there is the need for me to stay off my feet to encourage proper healing, but he also realizes that there is a true financial impact and has compassion for that consequence of treatment and will work toward an acceptable compromise, if needed. I appreciate the respect showed to truly include me in the plan of care. The staff who check me in and get things ready for MD or NP to see are pleasant and work well, together, providing a pleasant start!

Had only a couple of visits with him, but I do not need any further, to highly recommend him. Why? He healed the wound on the outside of my left foot, without any further ado. Obviously, I appreciate results (which is what I had to do in my career, too), and he got the job done.!

Dr. Sawicki is amazing! He has a great bedside manner, took the time to answer my questions and explain things. He is honest and straightforward. I appreciate his friendly manner. He made a very scary situation easier to face. Highly recommended!
