Zero Followthrough
I went to see Dr. Gooss by recommendation of a friend. Waited for months for a new patient appointment, no big deal. The appointment seemed to go well, they did initial blood work, he was affable and listened (which is the only reason why I’m leaving 2 stars & not 1). I’d mentioned some health problems I’d been having & he said he’d send an order for testing with a specialist. This is where things went downhill. Blood test results were published to the portal a week later with some fairly alarming readings that no one in the office reached out to me about. Several weeks later, I reached back out to the office about the specialist testing that was supposed to be ordered where I was told that the order had never even been submitted & that he had never even noted my file that it NEEDED to be submitted. Finally, the order was submitted, the test was done, & now no one in the office will return my call to communicate the findings to me though I’m told the results were sent over a week ago.

Very good doctor and practice!
I have been going to Dr. Gooss for about two years. He is efficient without feeling rushed and I appreciate that he (and the office) do not nickel and dime you when they submit billing/claims to insurance. Fairly easy to get an appointment. Seems knowledgable and I believe strong quality of care. Highly recommend!

I've been a patient of Dr. Gooss for about ten years, and he has ALWAYS taken time to listen to what I have to say, to answer my questions in full, and we discuss possible treatments together and settle on the one that's best for me. He's kind, thoughtful, caring, and he's an exceptionally good listener. I chose him because he's young, and I wanted a doc that wouldn't retire before I die. I'm in good hands with this doc, and my only negative is that when I finally admit that I'm sick, I can't always get in to see him because I waited too long to call and his walk-in appts are already taken. He's an excellent physician.

I think Dr. Gooss is an amazing doctor and trust him in a lot of cases over my specialist doctors. He and I think alike so we make a good team when diagnosing my many medical issues. He always gives me plenty of time. His staff is AWESOME!!! I feel blessed to have found Dr. Gooss’ Office. I always leave there with results and answers.

Saw him and after 3 weeks of being sick and stating that I feel that I was getting worse and needing antibiotic, he disagreed and said just give it more time. Left for vacation 3 days later and called starting worse than 3 days earlier and declining. Would not call in antibiotic and said to go to a clinic. Went and told the Nurse Practitioner atvthe clinic the same. She didnt like how long I had been sick for, ordered a chest xray. I had walking pneumonia, put on antibiotics. Also when I did have my visit with Dr Gooss, he was to call in 3 Rx to my mail order pharm. Well they were never sent. This was the 2nd time this happened, leaving me without my meds until they arrived. Local pharm couldn't fill as insurance saw the 90 day script. Yeah, I am done. Time for a new Dr!

Dr Gooss will take the time and be in the room while you talk. However, he seems to get confused when there are complex health issues. I felt like he was preparing his response when I spoke rather than listening to what I was saying. This was further supported by what I feel is a misdiagnosis. He also did not ask questions but rather assumed things...incorrectly. If I didn't have health problems that need management, I would continue going to him. He is affable.
