Basically only asked what kind of meds my wife would like this visit. I no longer let my wife see him again. Simple as that. Not to be harsh but it's the truth. No dis-respect but that's our experience.

When I first began seeing Dr Adler, I thought he was very reserved. But in the 15 or so years he’s been treating my husband and me, we’ve developed a very congenial and trusting relationship with him. His expertise in the field is immense. One thing is absolutely certain - Dr Adler’s top priority is always the safety & well being of his patients; he fights “the system” on their behalf on a daily basis. That is rare in mental health today.

He didn't speak to me that much. I have anxiety, so my therapist and I wrote out a list of my symptoms to tell him so that I wouldn't freak out and forget. After listening to it, he didn't say a word as I sat there. Then he started checking on his computer to make sure that my insurance would cover everything while still not saying a word. The medicine's side effects, whether or not to eat before taking, or anything of the sort was not discussed with me either. It felt like a pill factory.
