Dr. Lavon Wood, MD

Dr.Lavon Wood& Tammy NP are very knowledgeable.I am a very picky patient but they take great care of their patients.

I seen Dr. Wood in Clinic she was very kind, and understanding. She explained everything to me and provided follow up care as needed.

She lacks compassion and is completely dismissive. You feel like a paycheck to her and nothing more.

Dr. Wood listens and really cares. She does not hesitate to recommend a specialist if needed. She is knowledgeable and thorough.

My first visit with Dr. Woods went well. During this COVID-19 outbreak, they took the necessary precautions and those precautions extended into the inner office and exam room. Since this was the first visit we exchanged information on expectations and procedures. It went well and I'm looking forward to having her on my Care Team.

Although I had several appointments with Dr Wood - I never saw her as a physician, always nurses and never got an answer to any questions.... Is there REALLY a Dr Wood ?

I switched to Dr. Wood so that a doctor could follow-up with my complex medical issues. The first time I saw her, she agreed that I needed a doctor, but after that, I never saw anyone except NPs. Although they were nice, they did not seem to know what to do about my lab results or referrals. When I finally was referred to a specialist, no one at the clinic seemed interested in following up with me or setting up other necessary testing recommended by the specialist. After I left multiple messages, leaving my phone number each time, someone finally called back and said that they had the wrong number. I cannot recommend Dr. Wood or this clinic and have transferred my care once again so that hopefully my new doctor will provide the care and follow-up I need. If I could give less than one star, I would!

I left a Good Review Just after my latest Appointment, but seriously folks-You Will Not Fine A More Knowledgeable And Caring Healthcare Professional than Dr. Lavon Wood. She treated me with Respect and Kindness the Very First Time We Met. I can’t say enough GREAT THINGS about This Wonderful Lady. I Have Seen Several Doctors in My 41 years and Am Just So Very Impressed with Dr. Wood. I Would Totally Recommend Her To ANYONE As An Outstanding PCP And Her Medical Staff Are Also So Completely Nice And They Treated Me with Nothing But Professionalism and Compassion.

Very frustrated in the lack of follow-up. After having tests run, no one ever called to give me the results. I had to call to get them to call me back and then to ask again for another appointment. They still have not followed up from my last visit. I need a physician that will listen to me and help me and not be condescending.

I have been seeing Dr. Wood for 2 two years and have always been happy with the care I have received. I hated going to the doctors until I started talking to her. In the past year we also switched my kids to her. And they are very comfortable with her. I would definitely recommend. The staff is always helpful and they are very knowledgeable. And both of my kids have seen Dr. Wood and Tammy the nurse practitioner and love them both.

Highly recommend. Dr Wood is highly trained with all the latest knowledge in health care. You will be in good hands. She has a great staff, well trained and every one is compassionate in the care that they give.
