Awesome, Understanding
Dr Mathie is the best, i am so thankful i found her , she understands, very through , listens, does not rush during visits, and will do a video call. Need more like her in West Virginia where i live. Nurse Abbie is the best also, they both get 5 stars from me.

Due to a shake-up in Heritage Valley Health System I lost her as my doctor. Bunch of corporate smack-offs. She recommended another doctor she has faith in. However, being "old school" I don't take kindly to change. Especially due to corporate smack jacks who put the dollar over people. That said. I went to the doctor she recommended to give him a fair shake. Being as open minded as I could. Turns out she sent me to someone who was acceptable and everything worked out. But, I was prepared to drive a GREAT deal of distance to her new office had it not. The fact that she deals with this problem herself from a young age gave me the extra assurance she truly understands this nasty condition. In closing, if you live within distance of her office and you don't see her then you're more than just hurting. You're nuts. She's GREAT. She's smart. And the really big thing is she cares about her patients.

I had one appointment with Dr Laurie Mathie and she treated me like crap because I saw her and not the other doctor. She then put in my chart that I have opioid addiction problems and searching for drugs. I have not been able to receive any decent healthcare because of her and she won't remove it. If you are smart you will stay away from this office. I have almost taken my life repeatedly and now have a newborn with neonatal graves disease because no doctor or even the Obstetrician would listen to me because of what Dr Laurie Mathie put in my chart!!!! It is 100% all a made up lie and she needs put in jail for the damage and suffering she has caused to not only me and my family but this poor little beautiful baby boy. ???????? Save yourselves and see any other doctor but her. I sadly found out just 8 months ago that she was the one that did this!!!! She is nothing but a MONSTER! She shouldn't even be allowed to have a medical license! I am sure she has ruined many other lives.

Dr. Mathie is a one of a kind doc. She is one of the most caring and empathetic physicians I have ever encountered. I followed her from office, to office, to office over the years and there's no one I trusted more with my care along the way. She spends the time with you when needed and has been available by phone when needed outside of an appointment. Nothing in life is instant, and some patience is needed when seeing her - the office is often backed up.

Dr. Mathie is wonderful! She really listens, she does her homework, she is very responsive, she is kind and caring, and she takes the time to explain things very well, answering every question you may have. She went above and beyond to help me, and she also really helped to manage my medical condition in a very short amount of time through her quick diagnosis and prescriptions. I could not have asked for any better care.

Dr. Mathies is amazing. She stops and truly listens to what you have to say and is very understanding of alternative ways of handling your condition. She supports lifestyle changes and will help you change outside factors that might aggravate symptoms. Her warm persona makes it very easy to talk to her and understand what she thinks is best for you. I recommend her highly!
