If you are looking for a doctors office where you wait two hours consistently to see the doctor, receive no acknowledgment of the lateness and get spoken down to very condescendingly- this is the place for you! If you want to be treated like an intelligent person and your time valued- seek other options! Doc still operating with 1950’s assumptions about women and neurodiversity. Oof this was bad!

My family has gone to Dr. Murphy since 2015. He's an amazing doctor and always makes time to see you, especially if you're child is sick. He's had no problem consulting with specialists and has really helped us out at the hospital before. He also treats my oldest son's ADHD. We had no problem getting a referral for delayed speech and possible other neurological problems. We hope he never retires. Wait times prior to COVID could be a little long sometimes but it's improved quite a bit. If I have to wait an extra 15min-20 min because another child who is very sick doesn't get turned away, I'm okay with that.

I have gone to Dr. Murphy for 36 Years with my children. Yes, he is old school in some respects but he is thorough and knows your child. My son was diagnosed with muscular dystrophy by Children’s Hospital and a plan was put into place. It was Dr Murphy that took a class and studied up immediately on the protocol recommended to see if it was a fit. Not many would do that! You can see him studying at ffx inova many times! Very knowledgeable! Sometimes a wait but worth it. Highly recommend him.

We love Dr. MURPHY! He truly loves what he does and always there to help us with our sick boy.

Needs to retire. Love other docs there, but Dr. Murphy is old-school and holding the whole office back from progressing with new technology and ideas. Very dated decor and toys in waiting room, not up to today's standards. Staff is not permitted to accept or send faxes or emails (PDF)'s, only send / receive documents in person!?! If he's on call on weekends he could be as much as an hour late!!! Claims to be "allergist" - do NOT go to him for allergies, we know first hand not qualified

If I could give zero stars I would. Called their billing office to inquire about a bill. The girl just literally told me "don't come here again, or your child to this office, we don't want to see you, such troublesome patients". She didn't stop there, she hung up the phone on me saying "I am not going to listen to a lecture, I am done", when I told her (shocked) "I have never heard such a comment from a front office employee before". Humiliating. Will file an official complaint. Unacceptable.

Dr. Murphy has gone way beyond what we have needed as a pediatrician for our son. Yes...sometimes you have to wait a little longer than what is ideal, but when you get to see him, he really gets to know your child. He is very thorough and explains things in a way you can understand them. He is NEVER condescending and to me that is extremely important in a doctor. Most importantly, he genuinely loves children and knows how to handle them respectfully, carefully and gently.

Quite possibly the worst doctor I have ever experienced in my life. You will have no less then a 1.5 hr wait before he sees you, he triple books times and honestly half the time I don't think he has no clue of what he is doing.

I brought 4 different developmental issues with my son to Dr Murphy and he sloughed off each one telling me it was normal. For example, he told me toe walking was just my son's way of "getting from point A to point B faster". Coupled with the other issues I raised (speech delay, feeding regression, etc) he should have known it was a neurological red flag. Now I have a much bigger mountain to climb. His arrogance in dismissing a mother's concern is a liability to all of his patients.

His waiting time is crazy. If you can get out of there in 3 hours, you are very lucky. We have been with him for a few years. It's time for us to change him since we don't have that amount of time to waste in the waiting room
