Dr. Laurence Gibson, MD

Dr. Gibson has performed 2 surgeries on me and has done an excellent job with my care. As a former nurse, I am not easy to please and am very picky about Doctor's. Dr. Gibson has a great sense of humor and is friendly. It is easy and fast to get an appointment and his staff is very friendly and helpful too. His nurse was wonderful with my preoperative scheduling and information.

I did not have a good surgical outcome with two months of pain and no real answers. This office was entirely unresponsive. You have to call repeatedly. I asked to speak to a nurse on one call and was told that they do not employee any nurses. Seriously? A surgical office with 3 providers should have at least one nurse. I wouldn't recommend anyone to this surgeon or this poorly managed practice.

care! I was very happy with the care I received from Dr. Gibson. He is very competent, knowledgeable, caring and had a great "bedside manner". While it turned out that I didn't need surgery after all, I appreciated the fact that he wasn't "knife happy". He answered every question I had. He saw me in the hospital and followed up on my care afterwards until I was completely better. He certainly made going to the doctor a pleasant experience. I'd highly recommend him!

Had an outpatient surgical procedure with this doctor that resulted in complications that put me in the hospital for several days. This was not typical for this procedure. When you try to get his medical explanation for this mishap, he never gave you a straight answer and said 'we may never know the reasons why ?? This type of behavior means one of two things: 1. he knows what went wrong but is trying to cover it up or 2. he isn't medically competent to be doing surgery. Neither answer is good.

A few weeks ago my family member was diagnosed with breast cancer. She's a very difficult patient at times and Dr. Gibson was absolutely wonderful and understanding. He treated her with so much kindness and patience. I would recommend him to anybody who has just gotten a scary cancer diagnosis and needs somebody they can trust for surgery. His bedside manner is also reassuring and fun. He's truly a breath of fresh air!

Dr Gibson is the best! I had my lap band put in over 10 years ago, my surgeon moved out of state and I couldn't find anyone to monitor me until him. And he's been awesome!
