Dr. Lauren Prewitt, DO

I saw her twice, and both times I felt very humiliated and embarrassed by the comments she made during the examinations. I've been diagnosed with vaginismus, so gynecological exams are very painful anyway. She "jokingly" made fun of me when I said it was painful and it felt like she wasn't taking me seriously. I wouldn't recommend Dr. Prewitt.

Based on dozens of 5 star reviews, I saw Dr Prewitt hoping to consider a diagnosis/treatment of endometriosis as the possible cause of 7 years of pain. I've never been so humiliated by a doctor! Her remarks on observations during the physical exam were demeaning, discriminatory, and absolutely unacceptable. If I had the chance, I would report it. Prescribed physical therapy but said: I don't think I need surgery right now. The examination was rough, left me feeling bruised and in stinging pain for days after. Then as I was leaving, she changes her mind. She said her office manager will call to schedule your surgery; never got a callback. The overall experience was a waste of time and frustration! I worked with a patient advocate group through my work. They found out she wasn't going to treat me. They found me a specialist in the area that took my symptoms seriously and made my case a priority. Look for that kind of doctor, she's not one of them.

Best OB Gyn I've ever had! Dr. Prewitt is so intelligent and compassionate and her office staff if very organized. Appointments are always timely!

Dr. Prewitt and her staff have been absolutely amazing. I made a cross country move about 3 weeks ago before I started having health issues. She took my concerns to heart and made sure she led me in the right direction to get a proper diagnosis. Her and her office staff are very friendly, understanding, easy to talk to, and really care about the patient. By far the best doctor I've ever been to.

Dr. Prewitt and her assistant performed an IUD insertion for me this afternoon and it was such an easy experience -- night and day from my last IUD at a different practice. Everyone was incredibly thoughtful and took great care of me before, during, and after the procedure. I've recommended Dr. Prewitt before for routine gynecology care and would definitely recommend her to anyone considering an IUD.

Dr. Prewitt is a caring, competent, and overall high quality physician. Her approach to OBGYN is a "whole body" approach to medicine, I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a female doctor in the San Luis/ Five Cities area.

I have been extremely pleased to find Dr. Prewitt's office!! She has been on time for every appointment so far, and I have never felt rushed when I meet with her. Her staff is great!! I had Dr. Prewitt for a surgery, very pleased with the outcome. I highly recommend Dr. Prewitt!! She doesn't do OB work in her office, just gyn but that's all I need these days!

I have seen Dr. Prewitt twice, and I like her manner and personality very much. She seems highly qualified to treat my problem, and I have total confidence in her ability.

Had the surgery, lasted about 6 months. Would not recommend incontenence surgery to anyone or this doctor

Dr. Prewitt is incredibly well-educated and resourceful. Her proactive approach to healing has helped me feel supported and see improvements in my health.

Her follow up care was terrible, and her office was a nightmare to work with.
