Bad experience that’s still affecting me
After 2 great experiences with Charleston OBGYN I went back and my OB had retired so I was told Dr.Hamilton would take his place.the 6th month of pregnancy I developed a hernia.I asked several times what would happen only to be brushed off. Before my delivery Dr Hamilton lied to me and told me they resolve themselves. After pregnancy again she told she didn’t repair it while she was doing my planned cesarean because “ there was nothing to worry about, and it will resolve itself when my stomach went down “ I learned afterwards these hernias NEVER just resolve themselves! Now it’s worse. The lining has widened & I’m still stuck with the pain and a have a 8” lump protruding from beside my belly button. But only now I lack the insurance to do anything.Ill never understand why Dr Hamilton lied or why it was too much trouble to fix something while she already had me open on the table.Or at the very least refer me out to someone who would.I thought Do no Harm was what physicians lived by?

She has been my OB for 20 years
She takes time to listen and gives thoughtful advice. I was fortunate enough to have her see me through two C sections, and now she is helping me to navigate perimenpause. I trust her completely.

my experience wasn't good.i had a cyst on my right ovary, she set me up for surgery an whenever i went back to her for preop. my surgery was cancelled, i told her i was still in pain. then later that day i try to get a mri from my regular doctor an i was told i needed a request from my obgyn, so i call them an she wouldnt set up a mri for me, cause i was told that i told her that i wasnt in pain anymore which was a lie an since i dont have a uterus anymore a MRI wouldnt do any good.so i dont request for anyone to go to her , i know i am not planning to go back.

I love Dr. Hamilton, i was high risk and nervous the whole pregnancy but she was there every step of the way. With my previous pregnancy i had pre-eclampsia and gave birth at 32 weeks to a baby girl that weight 3lbs 8oz(different doctor)with my most recent pregnancy i went 39 weeks and 4 days, when other doctors said i was more likely going to have pre-eclampsia with my second pregnancy but Dr. Hamilton made sure that didnt happen. I gave birth to a healthy 7lb 11oz baby girl April 2nd 2019. To all expecting mothers look no further Dr. Hamilton is the way to go.

She gave me horrible advice and was very critical and demeaning of me and my job. She recommended that i have a procedure and specifically told me there were no risks. I got really sick after it and she referred me to a hospital that she knew could not help me and ran up a $3000 bill. after arriving back to the office I found out that I was not seeing her but another male doctor I did not know just like at the ER. Ran up another large bill in your office.Tried to see him later, she barred apptx2
