Caring and Knowledgeable
My first time meeting her she did my EGD and Colonoscopy. Her staff and her made me feel very comfortable and informed me their every move because I was nervous.

Uncaring provider
The second dose of my colonoscopy prep. made me vomit. I called and verified with on-call doctor and then again with surgical nurse that I I could go forward with procedure (based on answers provided to several questions). After traveling to hospital (an hour) and waiting another hour, I was called in and told to change into a gown. Then, after all that, Dr. Browne refused to do procedure (even though I offered to retry prep and do later in day). Dr. Browne was unapologetic and took no responsibility for what she claimed was wrong information from the on-call doctor and nurse in her office. She also spoke down to me and treated me like I was stupid (although I fully understood her concerns with going forward at that moment, I did feel that she should try to find a solution that would let me go forward later in the day since I was specifically instructed to come in). She had no regard for me or the time that I had spent on trying to get procedure done. She had no empathy.

Pride over patients.
Dr. Browne performed an endoscopy and found nothing wrong with my GI. I received a second opinion from another GI doctor who recommended getting another endoscopy since a multiple things were not checked in the Dr. Browne’s evaluation. After asking about getting evaluated for the biopsy’s recommended by the other doctor, Dr. Browne responded with “Dr. Browne, she does not give advice based on another GI doctor's recommendations. She has already evaluated you and done a complete workup.” Second opinions should be common place since Doctors are not perfect and their patients, like me, are in significant pain and hoping to find root cause and resolution. It is inhumane and egotistical to decline responses from other doctor’s evaluations. After replying to Dr. Browne with similar wording, i was ignored. Disrespected and refusal to help a patient is the reasoning for this review. I truly hope Dr. Browne will re-evaluate the way she treats her pride over the health of the patient.

The doctor took our conversation out of context in regard to why she was the third doctor I had seen since I moved down here. Her notes Do not express the correct feeling if the conversation. If you want an unfeeling controlling doctor who will not work with you. Than I highly recommend her. All patients and all doctors are not meant for each other. There is no reason to write in a way in her doctors notes for misinterpretation of the conversation in her favor. I waited a month to see her

DR BROWN DID MY FIRST COLONOSCOPY/EGD VERY PROFESSIONAL, KIND AND COURTEOUS. ALTHOUGH IT HAS BEEN SOME YRS THAT I HAVE SEEN HER I STILL REMEMBER HER KINDNESS, AND WILLINGNESS TO EXPLAIN EVERYTHING TO ME. NOW ITS TIME FOR ME TO HAVE THE PROCEDURE DONE AGAIN AND I AM WORKING HARD TO SEE IF I CAN HAVE HER ONCE AGAIN AS MY GI DOCTOR.
