Dr. Lauren Aldewereld, MD

Spends little time examining. Looks at computer most of visit. Is consistently 1 hour late even though you are the first appointment. Gullible.

I was there for a yearly physical. She did not listen to my heart or lungs. Did not check my abdomen or thyroid. How can you do a thorough exam without touching the patient ?She was not aware of results from blood work.She did take the time to talk about herself, though.Very disappointed.Hopefully, her replacement with be more in tune with their patients.

After replacing my excellent retiring PCP, Dr. Lauren Aldewereld took over and immediately showed the same professionalism, knowledge AND personal care, taking the time needed and seeing I got proper care and testing as indicated for me. I can’t say the same for the current staff of Craig Medical Associates, UPMC affiliated group.

Terribly disappointing health care experience. Been a patient for several years and appointments have been progressively worse at each annual physical. The doctor barely examined me- was fine when I was a bit younger but over 50 now and need care. She spent more time sharing w me her own medical issue than she did on anything related to my appointment. I expressed concern about my high cholesterol-marked high in app - several messages have now gone unanswered. Zero follow up on my numbers. I have a new pcp I will see in September. Very sad and disappointed at how challenging it is to find a good pcp since mine retired.

I did not have a good experience with Dr. Aldewereld. She did not return calls or respond to messages on My UPMC when I was experiencing serious health issues. The staff did not follow up when I made requests to try to address the problems I was experiencing. I ended up in the ER and was admitted to the hospital due to lack of follow up from blood work done. I have lef the practice and would not recommend her based on what I went through due to lack of response from the doctor or the staff.

Dr. Aldewereld is a physician's physician! She is so attentive to every detail, has empathy with my problems/pain, and is totally trustworthy! She always lets me know that I can contact her with any concerns I might have. She never, never rushes me even if her schedule is backed up. I am totally impressed with Dr. Aldewereld and am grateful for her care.
