Dr. Whisler has such a kind, caring, and calm presence about her which she had at every single prenatal appointment of mine. She made me feel at ease and always helped answered my questions. She even came to see me and my newborn on Christmas Eve morning! I'm very thankful to call her my OBGYN!

Surgery-happy and Painful
She made me scared of OBGYNs for a long time. Took a biopsy of my cervix without any sort of pain medication and without me knowing that it would be the most intense pain I've ever experienced - one that makes we want to throw up just thinking about it months later. I felt incredibly violated after that visit. I can't speak to her OB knowledge, but I'd never recommend her for general GYN needs.

Whisler was recommended to me by a co-worker and I am so grateful. I delivered my first child in 2023 and Whisler was my doctor. She was very understanding of all my concerns especially as a bigger woman. I never felt judged or uncomfortable. She was always very informative on what the plan was throughout my pregnancy. After my son was born I had complications and she came to visit me while I was in the hospital. She is now my regular gynecologist and if I become pregnant again, I will definitely request to have her as my OB.

Can’t Recommend
While Dr. Whisler is nice, she’s not really the greatest doctor. I have issues and am considered high risk with all my pregnancies which she hasn’t annotated at all with this one in my record and won’t even see me every 4 weeks as recommended. Her nursing staff is rude and unprofessional. Thankfully, I’ve switch practices completely and now I am getting the proper annotations in my record and have kind, respectful nursing looking after me. Can’t recommend.

Above and Beyond
Dr. Laura Whisler goes absolutely above and beyond for the care and respect of her patients. With a large and rare tumor, I had seen other doctors who couldn’t seem bothered to actually physically examine my stomach to tell me how and where my tumor was even sitting inside of me. Let alone the years of trying to convince people that there was something wrong inside of me. I was scared and nervous by the time that I got to her. Dr Whisler held my hand and talked me through everything. She listened to what treatment method I wanted without putting her own personal ideologies in front of my own. Even after surgery I felt like I was the priority, she answers every question with grace and knowledge.

Very knowledgeable and capable, an asset to her profession. I recommend her highly. Performed my surgery with expert hands not to mention a great staff. She is always on time, known as being “on time and on the spot”

She can explain issues and options extremely well in both medically in-depth and layman's terms. Very accepting of patient's perspective on even alternative methods of care and preventative medicine/options, based on what is believed to be best for the patient.
