Amazing Dr
I absolutely love Dr Slaughter. She listens to you and before she prescribes anything she wants to make sure the medication is absolutely necessary. I am talking about statins. Before prescribing them, she wanted to see how cholesterol was utilized by my body. Additional test showed statins were not needed. I really appreciate her professionalism and approach. She really CARES. VERY positive experience. I highly recommend Dr Laura Slaughter!

Love her
I’ve seen Dr. Slaughter for many years and I’ve always enjoyed my visits with her. She is smart, experienced, very knowledgeable, and just an all-around great woman. I feel very comfortable being totally honest with her. She addresses my concerns and I believe she’s looking out for me. I trust her wholeheartedly.

Poor Geriatric Service
My 91 year old aunt was turned away from her appointment not once but twice because she was 10 minutes late. The 2nd time she was in the transport vehicle waiting to be unloaded and told she couldn’t come in. Even though her caregiver was in the office checking her in. Do you have any idea how difficult it is for her to get up and going. She is chair bound in some form or other all the time. In other words, She is refined to a wheelchair so she couldn’t hop out and run in. She lives with debilitating pain daily. She has Copd (which is why she had come in to the Office). Now she doesn’t have an appointment for three months. This is outrageous an exception should have been made to their rule in light of these circumstances.

Patient Requested Online Covid Consultation
Telehealth
I self tested on Monday, 11-13-23 and tested Positive for Covid. I am 70 years old and my wife has a very compromised immune system from stage 4 cancer so I wanted to get medicine to combat the covid asap. I called 8:00 am on Tuesday, 14th and was told to expect a call from the doctor. No call received so I called back at 9:30 am was told the. same thing. Called Wednesday, 15th at 8:00 am and expressed my concerns and frustrations on not receiving a call back. Called at 1:30 pm and asked about my case and is anyone going to call me? I was told each time that I would receive a call. This time the receptionist put me on hold and tried to get the doctor or assistant and neither was available and I was then told that they would reach out to an associate doctor and his assistant to have my case handled. Now Thursday, 16th 8:40 and still no phone call.

big sigh
I went to the er with severe gut pains caused by stress from losing my mother and was extremely sick and need help with scans or something to see what is going on with my body and she accused me of being on substances. She was not capable of listening to my prior history of what i have been through and was so quick to assumptions, I was in tears because of how she treated me and she i ended up having to seek help elsewhere not associated with the hospital..

Excellent communicator
Dr. Slaughter takes as long as is needed, which may sometimes mean you have to wait a little while she attends to the patient before you. She listens well, clarifying what you are telling her, and explains clearly what you need to know and/or do.

Dr. Slaughter had no bedside manner and really just wanted me in and out of there as quickly as possible. I was suffering from extreme back pain and needed medication so I called to speak with her nurse. I am still waiting for a call back after I called twice over a week ago. Resolved the issue at Urgent care. I should have just gone there first.

Her new PA which I guess is leaving is great. But she is rather quirky. She only wants to listen to what she thinks not the what you think probably going to change doctors even though she's close to my house.

She is the worst doctor I have ever seen. She addressed none of my concerns, yet went off on her own tangents. She was extremely rude and condescending. I am a 65 yr old female who has had a hysterectomy which she consistently referred to as my having been castrated. I took a number of tests she required and never got any results. When I finally got in to see the NP, I found there were issues with one of the tests and was recommended to retest in 6 months. I would have never know had I not seen the NP as it as months before I could see Dr. Slaughter. October 30, 2019

If you are searching for a doctor who listens and answers your questions, has a sense of fun, and is thorough in her exam and follow up... I highly recommend Dr. Slaughter. Don't let the name throw you as she is knowledgeable and caring. Her nursing staff is good and answers questions as they are able. They are not the doctor but they are helpful with how the system works. After my last doctor in this area I think I found a very good one.

I had very uncomfortable and confusing experience going to Dr. Slaughter. The nurse made me very unnerved by her demeanor. When I met with Dr. Slaughter, I misunderstood a sexual health questionand she proceeded to laugh at me and make fun of my mistake. After, getting my eye exam, the nurse forgot about me while I waited. Dr. Slaughtert then told me to "go find her" to get my results which I thought was very unprofessional. The only good experience were the awesome, nice ladies at the frontdesk

I have severe back problems caused by an early childhood injury. I have been seeing doctors very often ever since; I have probably seen at least 100 doctors over the past 47 years. Dr. Laura Slaughter is easily the best PCP I have ever had the pleasure of seeing. She has the best bedside manner, is the most polite, the most knowledgeable, and most thorough doctor I have ever had. I have never been treated so well by a doctor in my entire life. I feel like I hit the jackpot when I found her.
