Dr. Laura Schweger, DPM

They are experienced in what they do. Know precisely how to give you the best care given they have been working on their craft and perfecting it for almost three decades now. I'd blindly trust Dr. Schweger for any more foot or ankle issues I may face in the future.

My husband consulted Dr. Schweger for foot problems (pain). She took x-rays and recommended surgery. She told him he was born with a genetic condition that would get worse over time. Today we got a second opinion and were told that there was nothing wrong with his feet. Please get a second opinion if you see this doctor.

I chose her do my surgery after 3 dr's agreed opinions; she seemed competent & honest. She nearly killed me. Woke post surgery to learn she did not perform the agreed upon procedure. Weeks later as her work failed(and advised by another dr to still return) she did surgery in her office. I was awake so I watched. It was non sterile & she didn't know what she was doing. Ended up with 1/2 toe & got infected within days. She treated in house, trying several oral antibiotics. She lied & pretended to perform a culture test that wasn't sent in. I went septic: sent to a clinic where a port put in & I got IV antibiotics. My daughter intervened & with help from another Dr who got me in to an infectious disease Dr that day. I was told I was lucky; at best, the next day I would have been in hospital fighting for my life. Months & 2 surgeries later by a GOOD dr it was too late to pursue legal help; passed statute limits. Then she changed my records to cover herself. Do not trust her! Z

I've know Dr. Schweger for many years and she's been a trusted part of the medical team for our entire family. Dr. Laura has excellent interpersonal skills and "talks straight" about what's going on and what the solution is. She is also very empathetic and has a good sense of humor. It's rare that you find a medical professional who has these warm, human qualities.

She is wonderful- very knowledgeable. Her staff are all fun also.

Dr. Schweger read my previous records, asked me relevant questions, and listened closely to my answers. She diagnosed and provided me with more information on my foot conditions, in one visit, than my previous podiatrist had in eight visits. I'm looking forward to getting the surgery I need.
