Although a current patient, I not see her due to incompetent staff. I was given an appointment card with the date & time for my appointment. This was confirmed twice by voice mail and once again by email. When I arrived, the office was closed. The next day I called and was abruptly told to tell any grievance to 'Tammy.' I researched the office manager and called Tamela Bates Balderas at 10 a.m. that same day. I left a message describing my frustration upon finding a closed office after so many confirmations and requested she call me back so she could fit me in soon. She never returned my call. So the incompetence of the office graduated to arrogance. NEVER AGAIN.

Introduced by my long time and semi-retired eye doctor Steve Spector , Dr. Rubinate has the patience to tolerate laymen such as myself, the wisdom to ease horrifying fears of eye surgery, and the skills from her days as an Army surgeon to steadfastly maintain professional skill with passion for her work and compassion for patients. He explains things, explains them again, and walks you through the mandatory steps for healing and recovery. She speaks with you not AT you, and after two operations picked up the phone each evening to see how I am doing and reassure me that I would be fine. There are not enough word to thank her.
