Dr. Laura Pelaez, MD

I first went to see Laura for aid while I was struggling in college courses. I was always an honor roll student in Highschool however college was hard to focus on. I told Laura that my family had a thick history of ADD and ADHD. She offered me a psychologist consult (that I never heard back from) and depression meds. During our next visit we discussed birth control and how I did not like it for myself because it made me feel unnatural. She LAUGHED at me. How can you call yourself a doctor or even professional when you laugh at your patients when they open up to you. I will never go back to her. I recommend no one does.

I have had nothing but positive interactions with Dr Pelaez, she takes time to listen to my questions and does a great job explaining the course of treatment that she recommends. She speaks very fast with an accent but has no problem repeating herself if you need her too. She has a great attitude and a fun sense of humor that I greatly appreciate.

This doctor does not have a very firm grasp of English and therefore did not understand a lot of my health care problems and concerns (chronically ill patient) and gave inconsistent care and treatment information, she mishandled prescription information, refused to communicate with outside health care providers, incorrectly filled out healthcare-related paperwork and then refused to correct it, and then just stopped communicating with me. Would not recommend, especially for the chronically ill.
