Dr. Laura Muehr, MD

I’ve been seeing her for years! She always takes time to listen to me and answers any questions I have. She refers me to the correct doctor if I have an issue that is out of her scope of practice. She’s very good about answering my questions through the app any time I message her. She makes sure nothing is prescribed that will interact with any current medications and if medication is not working for me she never fails to check into seeing what would be the best to try to assist me with my issues. I have never felt that she doesn’t listen to me and I’m a talker and she still takes her time every time I have an appointment. I hope she is here long term because I’d hate to have to start seeing another doctor. I’d definitely refer anyone I know to her and feel comfortable in doing so!

I came back to Dr. Muehr for several years now and I will be finding another provider. At first I thought my concerns were just me overreacting to nothing. The more I did my visits I feel less heard and I am getting nowhere with my health. Any visits that are not about filling prescription or putting an order of lab testing she would dismiss. I have concerns that she brushed off and did not tell me reasonings what so ever.

Dr. Muehr is great! Her staff is much more friendly than any of the other doctors I’ve had here.

So far not so good. I've had an email in for almost a week now with no answer. I'm not wild about this email healthcare.

lack of listening skills with her patients. I gave brief history on first visit and she spent the entire time typing on the computer, so I thought she was getting all info down. She scheduled a test that I advised her I was unable to do, she tried to prescribe meds I advised I was unable to take, she treated me as if I were a hypochondriac. She may have book smarts but very litter street smarts. I had to explain things (that normal everyday people would easily understand), a few times before she may or may not have understood. She has a tendency to get behind on appointment times and she had the nerve to tell me its because people like me get her behind by talking about too many things. I had the nerve to discuss test results as she said we would do at this visit instead of just staying on point with a well visit

Wonderful, proactive, caring doctor that has gone above and beyond her duties to care for me. I would highly recommend.

Run! If you have a basic common cold maybe. If you have any medical issues that need addressed be prepared to be overlooked, condescended and unheard. I’ve never felt degraded as a person before in a doctor’s office. Do your research and choose someone that you trust. Unbelievable.
