Dr. Laura Haygood, MD

I have been seeing Dr Haygood for several years for whole body checks for cancer or pre-cancer lesions. She has always explained anything she found and what treatment was needed. When a biopsy was needed she performed it. If there was a question about whether the biopsy was needed, she took the least aggressive path that was warranted and rechecked in a few weeks. I appreciate her caution. Dr Haygood is a great doctor and I have recommended her to friends and family.

Dr. Haygood is the whole package: knowledgeable, kind, attentive, wise, gracious, an excellent listener who answers questions. She even photographs unusual miles etc to keep in patient file for future comparison, which is very reassuring. Our whole family goes to Dr. Haygood and we think she is a superb doctor.

My first appointment which was made months in advance was cancelled by the office and rescheduled for a month later. My appointment was for a whole body check for moles and removal of 2 items. When I arrived I found that Dr. Haygood was running behind. That is not a problem for me, if I am given the time needed for my appointment. Dr. Haygood did a thorough full body check. However I had two places on my face that I was desperate to have removed. She told the nurse to have another employee perform the extractions and rushed out of the room. Unfortunately, the other employee had an patient with an appointment and I was rushed out and told to reschedule. I feel like she was trying to make up running late with me! I will not go back to this doctor and still have to find someone to do something I expected her to do.
