Dr. Laura Gruskin, MD

She listens to all my concerns about my health and follows up on everything, and that’s what I love about her. I’m unsure about the office staff because each time I’ve called to get in because of a medical issue I’ve been told to go to urgent care. Or they will call me back if something is available. I’m use to offices scheduling an appointment and then telling u they will call u back if one comes available not just leaving you with the health problems

What an absolutely wonderful doctor. Dr. Gruskin made me feel so comfortable from start to finish. She was the doctor on call when I was diagnosed with cholestasis, along with already having gestational diabetes and gestational hypertension. I was so scared going into the hospital because I had two previous c sections and horrible experiences. Her and the entire team were so nice, so informative, so comforting and so kind. I honestly cannot say enough good things about our visit from start to finish. She safely brought our last little girl into the world, answered all my questions, nothing felt rushed. I would recommend her a thousand times over. Thank you so much Dr.Gruskin and all of the Beaumont staff.

Dr. Gruskin and her wonderful, strong staff team have provided me with wise and compassionate ob/gyn care for almost 10 years now - including 3 (going on 4!) C-sections!! She came highly recommended to me at a time of life that I would have had NO WAY of finding excellence like hers on my own! May God bless her and the whole staff for their tender and thorough service in the most vulnerable, sometimes scary, and intense times of so many women's lives. I could never have imagined such a SWEET experience as it has been for her to give me such special, family-level attention through the birthing each of my children.

Dr Gruskin is AMAZING!!!!! I would never allow anyone else to handle my pregnancies. I've had lots of complications with all three and she's been just what I needed to get through it all. She remembers me and details about my life every time I go in regardless of how long it's been since I was last there. She feels like a friend as well as an excellent doctor.

I love this place so so much for a bunch of reasons. First of all every single person I met there is incredibly kind and compassionate. As someone that gets anxious with dr visits, especially when seeing a gyno. I am always relieved to the welcoming smiles and warm questions from every staff member. More specifically Laura Gruskin is a GEM I have never felt more comfortable with a dr in my whole life. They made active attempts to work with my situation and preferences which made things easier on me. 10000% best medical experience would HIGHLY recommend

West Oakland is outstanding. Caring, compassionate, and knowledgeable team all around. We can’t recommend Dr.Laura Gruskin enough. She saved our sons life by catching the smallest sign of distress in my 38th week of pregnancy. She was always very thorough, attentive and genuine, no concern goes unheard or question unanswered. We will forever be thankful for Dr. G and staff.

The doctors at West Oakland have always been great - I've been going there for about 5 years now. They are super attentive to my needs and my take on what's going on with my health. They have been very patient with answering all of my questions and getting me all the resources I need to make good decisions.

I've been seeing Dr. Gruskin for a couple of months now and I can't say enough good things about her or her staff. I am terrified of the doctor and she always makes me feel more at ease. She takes time to listen to you and provide you with your options. I always feel free to make my own decisions without judgement. She is very knowledgeable and supportive and I know when I go in we are going to discuss what's going on, what can be done and then we do it, I like a good action plan and hate wasting time on a lot of back and forth. I've never waited longer than five minutes to be called back for my appointment. The office is clean and tidy.

Very nice people, from the person on the phone who scheduled my appointment, to the provider I saw. Everyone is calm and listens well. I felt cared about. It also didn't take long to get an appointment. They only booked two weeks out.

Even though I showed up on the wrong day for my appointment, Dr Gruskin squeezed me in. It was my first appointment and she got on her computer and filled in all of my information for me as she interviewed me. She asked lots of questions and listened well. Dr Gruskin also asked about other non GYN related conditions and gave some input on treatment, which included yoga. Most doctors won't go there, but she was very supportive of the non-traditional methods I was using .

Dr. Gruskin is wonderful! I have seen her for years and she truly cares about me as a patient and as a person. She makes me feel like I am part of her family and has been more than just my ob/Gyn. I am grateful to her, and her staff, for taking such good care of me.

I have being seeing Dr. Gruskin for over 25 years. She is kind and patient with an excellent bedside manner. We have been through 3 very different childbirths , fibroids and cysts and she was always very thorough and informative. I have always felt that I was receiving the best care and that I was her only patient. Truly the best in her field.

I have been going to Dr. Gruskin for over 20 years and have always felt that she cared about my health. When it was time for my daughters to get a GYN I took them to her because I trust her opinion. I have been through several surgeries with Dr. Gruskin and she is also comforting and soothing, I feel well cared for when I am under her care. She is a great doctor and I would recommend her to my family and friends.

My experience with Dr Laura Gruskin has been nothing more great. She is a very companionate person really takes the time to listen to your needs and problems. Takes the time to explain in detail what she is doing. Always gives you choices and the best advice. I have put my health issues in her hands and has always come out on top. Dr. Gruskin will always go that extra step to make sure you are as comfortable with any decision the both of you make .
