I have been seeing Dr. Destefano since moving to Florida four years ago. I am 73 years old with very light skin, that had serious sun burns through out my life especially as a child. I have been treated by many dermatologists over the years and none has been better than Dr. Destefano. She does not shy away from getting up close in investigating skin issues and caring for them immediately.

My appointment was for a simple skin check. I’ve lived in Florida for nearly 30 years and try not to walk outside without sunscreen. Dr Destephano treated me for a minor rash on my back. She has excellent patient rapport. Have already booked my appointment for next year!

I am her patient and so is my fiance and his father. She has great communication skills and explains exactly what needs to be done as far as testing for skin cancer.

Dr. Laura DeStefano, DO was warm and friendly and took the time to listen to the areas which concerned me. She performed a good exam and addressed each of my concerns. Turns out, there was nothing to be concerned about. She took the extra time to ensure I had no other questions and inform me if anything else comes up, they are available to help me right away. It’s nice to spend time with a medical professional that isn’t rushing through an appointment and takes the time to engage with you.

I see Dr. DeStefano in Port Charlotte. She is a very good Dr. Takes her time explaining things and is willing to provide free samples if needed. She is very pleasant and personable. My only complaint would be the length of waiting time. I know Dr's have to see numerous patients to cover costs but waiting over an hour is a bit much...

My wife & I set appts with her every winter when we come down to Florida to have full body skin exams to check for any pre-cancerous lesions. She's found several which our Dermatologist back in Wisconsin wouldn't remove because of concerns about Medicare paying for the removal. Dr. DeStefano has no reservations about removing these which she found. She's excellent. Wouldn't think of going somewhere else. Asks questions and listens to the patient. Very compassionate and understanding
