Dr Costello did not even show up for my high risk delivery at Albany Medical center, at 7:30 am, so it ended up being an emergency delivery by the chief resident. She sauntered in an hour later, despite being called by the nurses at the hospital a couple of times during the night because of some fetal heartbeat dips. This was a few years ago, but I see her reviews are not good still.

I misplaced my vaccination card, and have been trying to contact this office for several weeks now to issue me a new one. (Which takes a matter of a few seconds to write the date on a card). After multiple calls, and promises to call me back, they have yet to return my call. I've contacted the department of health to make them aware, since this is absolutely ridiculous. I have pre-existing health issues, and am concerned that if I am not able to get my booster because the lack of effort of this office to reissue my vaccination card, then I may be more susceptible to getting the virus. I have elderly parents, and a child at home and am frustrated that this office is not helping in any way. All the push on everyone to get the vaccination and booster and no one willing to help. Wouldn't recommend this providers office by any means. Certainly happy I am not a patient here.

Finally pulling the plug on this practice after this idiot walked into the office during a pandemic today unmasked telling us to “pretend she was wearing one”. Told me years ago (before I switched to Alison once I realized Costello is a raging maniac) my libido problems couldn’t be health related, rather I “didn’t like my boyfriend anymore”. Woman is full of herself and will only insert her own personal opinions and terrible jokes.

I was placed on a birth control pill over a year ago. I was told that I would need a 3 month check in just to see how the bc was affecting me. When I called to make that appointment they said no come back in a year. Its been almost 2 years and they still wont see me or hear my concerns. Also every time I have to renew my prescription it is a whole deal and leaves me without pills for a couple days ruining my cycle.

honestly, the exam was the best part. I didn't feel like she listened to my concerns at all and made me feel stupid for bringing them up. She didn't take any of my questions seriously and it was overall a terrible experience, will not be going back.

I am very comfortable with Dr. Costello, she’s very pleasant and down to earth, efficient though I never feel rushed. She is well educated and inspires confidence with her low key approach, I would highly recommend her.

Poorly managed office, flustered reception staff, no EMR, so no access to your records online. Questions to the nurse take far too long to get answered (6+ hours, sometimes days). When you finally get a hold of the nurse, recommendations are not very helpful, since most things need the provider's insight. When you finally get to consult with Dr L Costello in appt, she is negligent. 2/2 medical issues I resolved APPROPRIATELY with a second opinion, independently. Awful, unsettling experience.

Told I had to wait 3 months for an appt because I had not been there in 2+ years and was considered a "new patient". I had multiple deaths in my family & an elderly mom going through cancer, but ok, I let it get away from me, I can wait 3 months. 3 weeks prior to the appt the office calls and tells me they have to cancel & I have to wait ANOTHER 3 MONTHS for a new appt. They have earlier appt's available, just not for me. Keep your unbending policies and poor service, I won't be back.

I brought my 17 year old daughter for an appointment with her. My daughter wanted an IUD, but Dr. Costello is opposed to giving sexually active teens IUDs and ended up referring her to Planned Parenthood, who inserted the IUD with no issues. Dr. Costello admitted that both the CDC and the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists endorse the use of IUDs in sexually active teens as being both safe and highly effective and that she interjects her personal feelings over science.
