Dr. Laura A Gillespie, MD

I find Dr. Gillespie very easy to talk to. It’s not easy talking about difficult subjects, but she makes you feel heard and listened to. When she is trying to challenge the eating disorder mind and behaviors, it may feel bad, but that is the whole point of treatment—challenging the thoughts that keep you stuck. She challenges me endlessly and it’s been a key to my recovery. If there is a setback, she works with you and your team to figure out how to best work through it.

Not everyone may be a fan of concierge medicine, but it allows the patient to receive top of the line care. Dr. G is always available for questions, concerns, or accountability. She challenges her patients in order to get them to think outside of the eating disorder “box”, and that is what is most helpful. I am continually challenged and that has been essential to my recovery.

Dr. G is very professional, but also makes you feel very comfortable. Continuity of care is important to her and she follows through with recommendations if needed. She has nothing but her patient’s best interest at heart. I would never go anywhere else!

Does not take insurance now. Last minute canceling, late to appointments, rude and condensing. Once I left (thank god) she never contacted me again after I consistently requested my medical records. No follow up care left me high and dry and would not give me my medical information when finding a new provider.

One of the most unprofessional providers I’ve ever worked with. Just because you’ve been doing this for years dosent mean you are inherently good. Horrible attitude

She's a great doctor with the best best-side manner of any doctor I've ever had, but she has too many patients so it can be difficult to get an appointment in a reasonable amount of time and she cancels appointments on regular basis (like when I make an appointment, it is a safe assumption that it will be canceled). When I do get in, I have had to sit in the waiting room for over an hour on multiple occasions. She also doesn't have anyone to answer phones and often does not respond to voicemail.
