We met Dr Watts in hospital after my husband had a heart attack. He was concerned, direct, and acted right away! Our outcomes were great & the follow up from his office was very through. DR Watts wasn't " warm & fuzzy" but more direct & to the point & provided fantastic care! Thank you for saving my husband's life!!

Dr. Watts replaced my lower aortic valve in March of 2016. I can not possibly convey how skilled and professional he is. it has been 7 years now and I am fine with BP of 120/80. When obtaining more than one EKG over the years I was told that they could not even tell that the valve was replaced. When asked who my surgeon was their comments included "now I understand". There is no other like Dr. Watts, An Angel on this Earth. I will always be grateful to this incredible Doctor. John Anthony Feathers

Mitral Valve Repair
After extensive testing, it was determined that I my heart murmur was due to Nonrheumatic mitral valve regurgitation. Dr. Larry Watts took time to explain my condition as well as all the possible scenarios. I elected to get the surgery done within a few months which increased my chances of being able to repair versus replacing my mitral valve with a pig valve. Dr. Watts' skills and expertise allowed him to be able to repair my valve. He also was able to perform a mild evasive surgery accessing my heart through a small incision on the side of my chest versus cutting open my sternum. Everything went beautifully and I was taking walks up to 3 to 4 miles twice a day after a week of recovery. My decision to act quickly despite having no symptoms and Dr. Watts's brilliant skills and experience equaled a truly remarkable experience and successful outcome. I couldn't be more blessed! Behind the scenes during my recovery were constant comments from nurses and staff on his brilliance!

Dr Watts performed Double Bypass Heart surgery on me. His bedside manor as well as his pre and post operative care is the reason I chose him over the physician at Novant.

Very much to the point, no surprises. Explained the alternatives and made suggestions. A true professional approach. It was easy to be confident that his plan was the right one. Spent a lot of time with me, explaining and encouraging.
