Your trust is our top concern.

We strive to keep reviews honest, trustworthy, and fair.

Doctors can not pay for good reviews, nor can they pay to have negative reviews removed.

We monitor all reviews to ensure they comply with our guidelines and don’t include personal information, profanity, libel, defamation, harassment, obscenity or fraud.

Any reviews that are deemed fraudulent or violate our guidelines will be removed immediately.

All reviews are confirmed and audited before publication, and community members have the ability to flag inappropriate content for further review by our team.

I rarely leave negative reviews, but in this case, I feel compelled to warn others. Both my wife and I used Dr. Larry Presant as our primary care physician, and we both had terrible experiences. His bedside manner is awful—he does not listen, constantly interrupts, and seems more interested in rushing through appointments than providing quality care. He barely spends any time with patients, making it clear that his priority is getting in and out as quickly as possible. Beyond that, he misdiagnosed a condition of mine, which could have had serious consequences. A doctor’s job is to carefully assess and diagnose their patients, and Dr. Presant failed in this regard. Additionally, a prostate exam he performed left me in pain for nearly a week, which is completely unacceptable. This should never happen in the hands of a competent physician. If you're looking for a doctor who actually listens, takes the time to provide proper care, and treats patients with respect, I strongly recommend looking elsewhere.

Don't make them like Dr Presant anymore!
Dr. Presant is an "experience" and a great one at that! My wife and I have been going to Dr. Presant for over 25 years now. He is the best doctor we've ever known. His expert grasp of the medical field backed by shrewed intelligence and over 44 years of experience make him, IMO, one of the top diagnostic doctors in southern California. Sure he can have a peculiar bedside manner and casual detached approach but dont be mistaken, he hears everything you say and takes it all in to find you best path forward, both in body and mind. And he's not a fussy doctor or one to over-prescribe or over-test, but will do so in an instant if he feels the need. I cant speak for the negative reviews on this site but IMHO, they're rot and from people to dull to see what talent is before them. Some mentioned they'd prefer to see another doctor; please do, it's a free country and it just means more face time for us and Dr. Presant. As for us, Dr. Presant will remain our doctor.

Worst primary care visit I have ever had
My PCP left Palomar so I scheduled a visit with Dr. Presant. I waited for over an hour in the patient room to see him, which was fine because his MA gave me a heads up he was running behind. But when he finally saw me I found that he lacks basic common courtesy. He did not knock before entering the room and cut me off at every possible opportunity to discredit my symptoms. He blatantly told me I just don’t have to ever see him again if I decide I don’t like him rather than just have a conversation with me about my chief complaint. This was in response to me explaining that the OTC medications he recommended did not work for me in the past. When I told him I see a specialist for my issue (that I’ve had for a decade) he got very defensive and started listing off his credentials and work experience and how he’s the most experienced provider around. Overall he was pompous, rude, and did not listen to a word from me as a patient. I left crying feeling very discredited and talked down to.

Not at all
Worst doctor I've ever seen. Told me "If you don't want to follow my ORDERS, find another doctor". So, I did!

Awful
I took my 96 year old dad to him and he missed his congestive heart failure. Took to urgent care next day and Dr. Fiori sent him to the hospital immediately. My dad could have died.

Best Dr. there is for my needs.
Dr. Presant has been my primary care Dr. for over 25 years. In those 25 years, he has always listened to what I have to say and doesn't brush it off like other Dr.'s. Then we come up with a plan together and see if we need to adjust things along the way. I went through some tough time times years ago and he always had the answer and solutions.

I have been a patient of Dr Presant for 5 years. He is a very likable guy who gives you the time to explain your problems and is very thoughtful with his answers. Every Dr that he has referred me to is at the top of his game - Dr. Presant picks the best for his patients. He may come off as a little gruff, but he is only trying to get the best information that will help him help his patients. His support team is excellent with care and expertise. The doctor and support team act as one with each doing their job at a very high level.

Dr Presant has been my doctor for several years. He’s always been the one to figure out what’s going on with me when others can’t. He does have a “no BS” personality, and some might say a little rough around the edges. But, I encourage you to get to know him- he’s a friendly and caring person. I am always able to schedule apmnts w ease, his nurse Nancy, is absolutely incredible! They treat me like family and I appreciate both of them.

I have been going to see Dr. Presant for a couple of months, and I'll never go back. He is obtuse -- doesn't listen and is clearly just trying to get you in and out of his office -- makes excuses for not being able to do much at all to help you, and worse, just does not care a whit about anything but getting through his day so he can do whatever it is he does when he's not working. I have had excellent doctors in the past. But Larry Present is not a good doctor. I can't trust him to care one whit about my health or even to review my chart before he breezes in to see me so he can get me out of there as quickly as possible. I wouldn't trust him with your health, either.

Dr. Presant was thr on-call doctor when my mother left a message with the answering service. My mother is 93 years old and has dementia. Unbeknownst to me, she left my phone number with the service. When Dr. Presant called me he was rude, condescending and abrupt - refusing to take my mother's phone number so that he could call her directly. Luckily, I was able to reach my mother and her issues wasn't urgent. But what if it was? It was his attitude that was so upsetting to me. I guess some doctor's think they don't need to be polite!
