Honest and explains options
Had right knee pain and Dr. Padgett presented the treatment options and let me choose which one I was ready for. Felt better after leaving the office after having an injection. Hoping this does the trick but if not will be comfortable returning for further follow-up

Dr. Padgett is a kind, caring, and brilliant surgeon. His kindness carries over into all his staff's behavior and decisions. The surgery went off perfectly. Not very often can you find such a kind Doctor who takes the time to listen to you and responds well, especially as busy as he is. It was really special to be treated so kindly thruout all my interactions with him. It meant a lot to me.

Everything from first consult to last appointment one year after my surgery was outstanding. He fixed my knee and I am back playing tennis. The entire process was flawless, on time, never rushed, lovely office and staff. Most importantly, he fixed my knee. He said, "I can get you back to playing tennis". I had an ACL replacement, meniscus repairs. If I could give them 10 stars, I would.

Dr Padgett repaired my rotator cuff and removed bone Spurs in my right shoulder. Procedure was fast and really no pain at all immediately afterwards. He explained to me that the recovery could be difficult and painful, which it was. Keys to recovery are a knowledgeable and experienced physical therapist of which I was fortunate to have located. The paring of an experienced surgeon and physical therapist team is critical to a favorable outcome. I cannot stress this enough.

I took my 16 yr old soon, a pitcher being scouted by Div I schools, to Dr. Padgett for elbow pain. He said he needed surgery for ulnar nerve displacement. But post-op, his pain was worse. So Dr Padgett performed a 2nd surgery. When he was still in pain after recovering from this op, we travelled to see a world renowned nerve specialist. The specialist told us that Dr. P had "botched" BOTH surgeries and left his ulnar nerve "kinked off" in 3 places. Dr. Padgett never accepted responsibility.

I saw the Dr. for an ongoing issue with my knee and he decided I needed surgery, which he could perform in a few weeks. He drained my knee at visit and the next day I awoke with it even more swollen and could not feel my foot (potentially due to a complication of my drainage). He never called me back personally n had his staff advise me to go to an ER. The following Monday he had his staff advise me that he could no longer due my surgery, my knee was now too complex for him and referred me out

Over the past 6 months I have experienced shoulder pain and decreased strength in both shoulders . Though initial X-ray revealed some impingement, we elected to go through physiotherapy with Polk Therapt. At the end of that course of treatment, I was fully restored to function without pain. It was in November if the same year when the symptoms returned, and while therapy did relieve some discomfort, we began to think MRI images would reveal the source of the problem. Indeed, I need more space.

Well he has worked on my entire family who have had orthopedic needs. He is WORLD CLASS Ortho right here in Polk County. His ability to diagnose the problem (which is almost always confirmed by the MRI studies) is amazing. His outcomes are top notch, his skill and technique are so good that he disturbs only the tissues he is working on leading to faster than normal outcomes, no messing around in your joint. Very even natured, very professional and does a 5 star job!!

Absolutely the BEST doctor around! I would drive a hundred miles for his care. He reworked both my daughters knees, one of my sons knees, and repaired major tears in my shoulder. He takes the time to talk with you and his PA's are great also!

My 70 yr. old husband saw Dr. Padgett on Feb. 2 for a shoulder issue. He had seen 2 orthopedic surgeons previously. Both said his only option was a shoulder replacement. Although Dr. Padgett agreed that would be a permanent solution, he did offer other intermediate steps he could try first. He received a shot in a different part of his shoulder than the previous shots and amazingly it has provided great pain relief. We are so thankful to have found Dr. Padgett. We would highly recommend him.

From the first time I met him, Dr. Padgett exhibited a true concern for my well being. Dr. Padgett was very thorough in his diagnosis on my shoulder. He offered me different options for rehabilitation. I chose to have surgery. He explained to me what the issues were, how he could correct them and what my expectations should be. Surgery went extremely well and my recovery time has been unbelievably short. I attribute this to his skills as a surgeon. His staff was excellent. I would highly him!!
