I've been seeing DR Hughes for over 3 years. When I went in I was Type II Diabetic with High blood pressure, and chronic acid reflux. I am down 55lbs no longer diabetic, no high blood pressure or acid reflux.

I wish I would have read these reviews before I went in to see Dr. Larry Hughes because I have to agree with the patient who said the doctor is rude and has a very bad bedside manner. I sat in the waiting room over 20 minutes and when I was finally called in to be seen I was shocked at his attitude toward me. I am 69 and have diabetes. I had questions I wanted to ask being a new patient but his rude attitude changed that. After talking down to me for 30 minutes he decided to tell me he was a General Medical doctor and I should see an Internal Medicine doctor, he told me this three times so after I had time to calm down I called his office and said I would not keep my follow-up visit and I would look for another doctor. If you are a new patient I would think twice about having him as your doctor. As patients we know our body and sometimes want to explain to our doctor how we are feeling, but he didn't want to hear my concerns with his attitude. Very rude.

Horrible! Diagnosed my father, who has Alzheimer’s, with heart failure and put him on hospice. My father was taken off of hospice because there were no issues with his heart. Recently my dad had a fall and was put in nursing home to rehab. My mother called 3 times to try and get evaluation. Didn’t even get a call back, nor did Doctor Hughes call once to check up on his patient. We have changed doctors. My mother’s doctor is his daughter and has been less than impressed with her so she switched

I am currently 24 weeks pregnant and had an irregular anatomy scan related to my babies development Dr. Hughes denied my medical necessity to having a repeat ultrasound that my obgyn has ordered. Dr. Hughes staff states their reasoning for this is Dr. Hughes used to be an obgyn and saw my ultrasound and sees no need for a repeat. Don’t rely on them for your health needs. You can’t trust that your health will be put before his want for your money. My insurance co. was even shocked at his decision

If you have diabetes I do not recommend seeing this doctor! Dr. Larry C. Hughes dictated I check my glucose levels once a day when I check my glucose levels up to 10 times per day! Because This so called doctor prescribed a once a day check of my glucose levels I was left without glucose test strips for over a month. This doctor is very dangerous if he thinks a type I diabetic should only check their glucose levels once per day! In my 30 years having type I diabetes I have never had a doctor

The worst doctor ever! He is very rude and is not knowledgeable at all. He was filling in for my primary doctor and I have lupus and he had no clue what lupus was nor did he care. He is not professional and his bedside manner is awful. He is only in it for the money and does not care what the patient is feeling. I felt worse when I came out then when I went in. I spent 3 hours in the office for nothing. I would die before going to him again. Don't waste your time with him!
