Dr Sloan’s office
Incredibly offensive office staff. Dr Sloan and Judy Acosta are the best. I have seen Dr Sloan for abt 10 years. They have been extremely helpful with my healthcare. At this time I am looking for a new Dr. If you read these reviews, many are very similar to mine. The health care professionals are excellent but the staff is horrendous. It is hard to believe how bad, rude, insulting, and offensive the receptionist is. I will not pay to be insulted and laughed at. Dr Sloan if you read this please contact me. I can’t get past the receptionist. Also, the fax machine is inoperable. This why other patients say it takes a week to get results or information which is faxed. I have had four (4) pharmacies say they will not fax repeatedly again. The pharmacy staff said repeatedly faxing the same requests will not fix the fax machine. Unless, the problem is no one is checking the fax machine.

Not At All Caring
In the 2 years I've seen Dr. Sloan, he never knows why I'm there. He has no clue what treatment HE has prescribed; I have to remind him. He mentions testing that doesn't even apply to my condition; I have to correct him. He mentions my insurance will pay for such-and-such; I have to tell him I don't have that insurance.... and the list goes on. He has never said Hello and never says good-bye or what's next; simply walks out of the room. I have felt completely uncared for. I'd rather not receive treatment than return to this office.

Dr Sloan’s office is unprofessional, uncaring, inconsiderate and does not prioritize the patient’s health. Failure to communicate properly with patient. Call backs are not in a timely manner and failure to keep a teleconference on the assigned day. I would not recommend this doctor to anyone

I saw Dr Sloan for the first time on 10-29-21. After reading these reviews on this page I really wasn't sure what to expect. There were so many negative reviews. I'm just here to tell my experience was nothing but good. I only had to wait about 10 minutes to get called in to be seen. He spent a good 20 minutes at least with me. He took time to listen to me and was very thorough, professional and knowledgeable. All of his staff were polite and friendly as well. I highly recommend Dr. Sloan and his staff and am happy to give them this good review.

This single-handedly has been the worst "doctor" I have seen in my entire life. If I could give 0 STARS I would. First off, I had an appointment scheduled 2 months in advance. Got there at 9am, was seen at 11am to be told "oh sorry, you were in squeezed in" what a joke. Next, I came here for a 2nd opinion regarding bloodwork I had done + PCOS symptoms. Literally saw him for 10 minutes just to be told I needed to be on "weight loss medication". I'm 23 years old- the medication he prescribed me was called "phentermine" and is prescribed for obese individuals, and individuals who have high cholesterol and diabetes. I am 145-ish pounds and have none of those symptoms. To continue, when googling what this medication was, it is a high risk medication when mixed with alcohol (when mixed, one can experience high blood pressure & even a heart attack). I put on my new patient paperwork, that I drink alcohol. It is like he did not even read/go over my paperwork. Lance Sloan is a joke of a doctor.

I have changed doctors in the past due to uncooperative or annoying staff. Dr Sloan's staff are great and have always gone way beyond in scheduling so I can arrange multiple drs visits since I live quite a ways from Lufkiin. The PA's and nurses are super but their admin bunch really shine. I have had to change meds frequently, trying to find the right one at a cost I can afford and it's been a pretty enjoyable trip, all things c onsidered.

Dr Sloane thought highly of himself, much more highly than I thought of him. He is very condescending and self righteous. He was more interested in telling me how much he knows than telling me how he could help me. I’m waiting on labs and then I’m outta there for good. His office staff was great!

Appointment @3 see Dr at 455. Tests after tests no answers. Now more tests. Being seen for a thyroid problem but have not been physically touched by anyone. What happened to hands on. Gave diet information verbally who remembers that . Not impressed at all. Will be seeking a second opinion...

In my opinion, this doctor is incompetent. His medical services provided in the hospital were detrimental to my dad's health. Other family members of patients I spoke with also expressed to me that they too had experienced problems with this doctor. In any future visits to the hospital, I will be sure to make sure he is not included as a physician that is treating my dad.

So slow. If you make an appointment expect an hr wait in the waiting room and 30 mins - 1 hour in a room. If the pharmacy needs to contact this office about your medicine, expect 1-5 business days for them to respond. Staff is rude and uncaring, they do not listen to your concerns and will hang up on you if you ask too many questions. I would not recommend this doctor to my enemies.
