Dr. Lance Shipman, MD

STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS PROVIDER!! This man is a joke. He came into our room judging us because we had been at CMH already this week for clinic visits. He has absolutely NO bedside manner. He doesn’t listen, his body language is HORRIBLE, he diagnosed my child before even seeing her or doing an exam. He thought we were there for throat pain before evening asking why we were there. He never introduced himself. He kept rolling his eyes at my daughter and myself. I was crying and so mad and he didn’t care at all. He has no respect for children or their families! Don’t ever trust this man and run the other way. After ten minutes of me crying and begging for him to listen he finally stood up and said, I’ll get you a different provider. Don’t trust this joke of a doctor with your child. If I could give this doctor zero stars, I would!

First I must say I LOVE CMH.....though, I was surprised that this doctor was a pediatric doctor. He was very unprofessional and he did not evaluate my son. He took my descriptions of constipation and did a bit of an eye roll with very unwelcoming body language. We left to go home. We did come back to CMH the following week with the same symptoms and another doctor evaluated my son and was wonderful. Unfortunately, at that time we learned my son had cancer. So overall, I must say Dr. Shipman was a disappointment.

The worst doctor we have ever met with. Did not care, ask questions, run tests. Spent two minutes with us and acted bothered that we were there. Also told us that a blood glucose of 40 or under is abnormal but that my sons dropping between 50-70 was fine and that his shaking, weakness, racing heart and shortness of breath was probably anxiety, then referred us to an endocrinologist and left. I have a lot of grace for healthcare workers, this was inexcusable and this man should not have a license.

This man is the worst doctor we have ever came in contact with at CMH! If he introduces himself to you I suggest you either leave or ask for a different dr! I wouldn't take my husband's EX-WIFE to this man!!!!! He is the most disrespectful not mention negligence doctor I've ever met. He ignored every thing I said and refused to properly examine my BABY and sent us on our way with a diagnosis of a "viral" bug.
