Dr. Lance Edwards, MD

Dr. Edwards has been my doctor for over 25 years. He delivered both my children and still asks about them (they are in their 20s now). He has seen me at my best and worst physically and emotionally. He is my most trusted doctor.

I have been seeing Dr Edwards for over 25 years and he is always friendly, knowledgeable and he listens. And he is always on time for my appts there is never a long wait time.

I felt like one of the girls that checked me in, was rude. The rest of them were OK. I was called in pretty quickly and the doctor came in quickly as well. He came in and introduced himself and as I went to shake his hand hello, he let me know that due to Covid we don’t shake hands. And immediately asked me what I was doing to lose weight. After talking about my symptoms and why I was there, he went back to blaming everything on my weight. Told me there is no possible way I can lose any weight, that I would need gastric bypass surgery. Basically calling me fat the entire time, in so many words, while smiling. And when he did the internal exam, it was like he was digging for gold. I thought I was going to die the way he was ramming his hand up there. I was sore and in pain for the rest of the night because, he was so rough. So not only was I berated by a total stranger while I was completely naked, I was also manhandled. I will not be visiting him or that office ever again.

I go to the Patchogue office and everyone is so nice. Dr. Edward’s nurse Lynn is amazing she’s always available to discuss all my concerns and is very caring.

Dr. Edwards is a very intelligent man. He could tell I was nervous due to the results from my pelvic ultrasound. He answered all my questions, told me not to worry - he has been doing this for a while and knows what to look for. He always asks if I'm comfortable and let's me know what I am going to experience before he continues. He performed my sonohysterogram, found a polyp right away, said he would send the biopsy to the lab, and told me he would call me as soon as he received the results. He did just that. I now have an appointment to get a polypectomy and an ablation in June, and I should be back to normal by the next cycle or two, possible without a period!!! :0)

Dr. Edwards is approachable and easy to talk to - he genuinely cares about his patients and you don't fell like his time is rushed, which makes it easy to ask questions and understand the answers. Plus the office staff is very friendly and helps to schedule your appointment at a convenient time.

Shocked to see such a low rating for Dr. Edwards. He is one of my favorite doctors. Initially I had to see him for a special procedure. I was terrified and nervous because I had never had a male GYN. Dr. Edwards made me feel comfortable and assured me everything would be ok; after that I made him my regular doctor and have been seeing him for about three years now!
