Gastroparesis
I am seeing Dr Packer because of some stomach issues and I was referred to him from Mississippi. Dr Packer and his staff are wonderful. We even talk about my trip. I fully trust him! I have felt much better since I have been seeing him.

His office staff were so nice all except the nurse practitioner that I saw for my follow up. She was rude to me. She didn’t even really give me time to ask anything. She was in and out. I just kinda felt like just a number not a patient. She introduced herself as Jessica. I have very good hearing even if I am a little older. My husband and I could hear her belittling other patients while she was standing outside of rooms. From checkin to getting to see Jessica the whole feeling changed once I got to the back. She truly doesn’t care I was basically a name on the schedule waiting time. Then once I got back up front after seeing her I began to feel like I was actually a patient not a number. The front ones were laughing and were so nice!! I wish I would’ve followed up with Dr Packer not Jessica.

I came through the hospital so I didn’t meet Dr Packers staff until my follow up. I saw his Nurse Practitioner Jessica. His whole office staff are amazing. There were a few things however that did bother me. Jessica was so sweet while in the room but as she walked out the door I heard her reply to the girl up front “Make her next appointment with Dr Packer because I’m not seeing her again. I walked out of the room and never said a word to anyone else other than the nurse and the girl at checkout which were wonderful. I made the appointment but I highly doubt I will be keeping it because she released me to return to work. I am by no means pointing fingers to the staff. Other than Jessica they were all wonderful and I could really tell just how well they all work together. I just think she has a complex problem and almost felt as if I were waisting her time. If I do come back I will be asking for someone else besides Jessica. I truly think she’s the bad apple of the bunch.

Major debrid surgery of both leg wounds
Dr. Packer did an excellent job on the debrid surgery of some very deep & terrible wounds on both legs. He explained everything well, before & after surgery. Kept my pain level at a bearable level. I credit his surgery for being fully healed at this point, except for a half-dime size area only on 1 leg. The original wounds on both legs were as big as my hand & 1/2 inch to 3/4 inch deep, then a 5 inch band around both legs besides that.

Dr. Packer has made himself a reputation for being rude to staff and patients. He is arrogant and has poor patient outcomes. I think he has a God complex

I started seeing him in February for a pressure sore on my lower back. He did treatment on me up until this past weekend. I had to go to Jasper Er for chills, very high fever, after just seeing him 2 days prior, when he says see u in a week. Anyway in the Er that Saturday night finally got in touch with Packer to tell him how sick I was,& packers exact response was:her wound has become more than I’m capable of treating. So why couldn’t he say that in his office on Thursday, before I had to be transferred to a Birmingham hospital less than 2 days later. For now by the way which is now an infected bed sore. He will never have to worry about me again. And oh by the way he also removed my gall bladder in March which has yet to make me feel better either .
