I was hit by a car while on foot. Both my tibia and fibula were broken with the tibia exiting stage right. When l surveyed my damage, foot flopping about fish like, I thought one thing- this is going to be an amputation. Luckily when I met Dr. Mobley in the emergency room he explained confidently he would “Steve Austin “ me back together. A metal rod inserted behind the kneecap through the length of my tibia, a plethora of surgical staples, three days recovery in hospital and Bobs your uncle. I’m grateful that surgeons like Mobley spend the many years they do to acquire the knowledge and the acumen to employ it. I am still recovering but I’m whole.
