Dr. Kyle Kung, DO

Was dismissive and rushed throughout when I visited him for a shin splint over a year ago. Very rude and demeaning. He was late to 2 out of 3 appointments I had with him by 20-30 min. When I was late by 5 min due to not being able to walk on my 3rd appointment while still having to go to work and attend classes with a shin injury, he spoke so rudely and didn’t give proper treatment. Despite the apology for being ‘5 min late’ he was short and dismissive throughout. I had to stand my ground and ask him and the attending technician to talk with some respect after which they mellowed down a little but not too much. DO NOT recommend

Dr. Kung has the worst bedside manner I have ever experienced. He seemed rushed, irritable, pushy, and demeaning. I never write reviews - if you're reading this, I would urge you to learn from my mistake and see literally anyone else if you can.

I’m used to medics treatment in the military, so I don’t need to be coddled. This DO however was a bridge too far; he spoke very condescendingly, and was apparently disinterested throughout each of the three appointments I booked with him. He took no time to explain what my injuries were, or how long I should expect a normal recovery to take. He simply handed me some printouts from A website and sent me on my way. 3 appointments all total amounted to less than 20 minutes of interaction. Even when my symptoms became worse he offered no explanation or helpful recommendations. Worst of all it appears I did not have to live with chronic pain for a year; I finally went to a specialist who diagnosed my condition within 5 minutes, ordered necessary tests and has put me on a treatment plan that has been very effective. Avoid at all costs, he is apparently there only for his paycheck.

I visited Dr. Kung for a general wellness check as well as to get some guidance on some health concerns I had. When I brought them up Dr. Kung seemed dismissive, telling me "[he] wouldn't worry about it" for many of them and having me move on (which probably was a fair evaluation, just that it made me feel rushed/not comfortable sharing my issues with how it was said). For comparison I do not feel this way with my regular hometown doctor. Later the medication prescribed for one of my health concerns ended up making me feel worse. Also when checking in with another doctor they pointed out that my visit had an abnormally high recorded heart rate, which was not brought up during the wellness check.
