Highly recommend
Patient, innovative, thorough, and not afraid to try new (and old) medications, Dr. Echols eliminated my decades-long depression and anxiety. I feel like I have my life back. Direct communicator who listens carefully, asks good questions, and also has a (dry) sense of humor.

Best doctor ever! I have had anxiety and panic disorder since I was in my preteen years. I have had to see different doctors over the years but when I got with him I decided this is the doctor I wanted to stay with. I have been seeing him for nearly 15 years and still there. It is so nice knowing I have someone that understands and will be there for me if I ever had an unexpected issue to arise. I have heard very good things about him from others too. Highly Recommended!!!

He probably saved my young adult daughter's life. He ranks right up there with the doctor who delivered her in my praises. She respects him and he has managed to get her to be honest about all that she is going through. He tells her like it is, and she loves it. She hasn't had much of that from me, which is why we are there. I don't know where the road will take us, but knowing he is on our side makes it a whole different journey.

Dr. Echols is very knowledgeable in his field and has helped me. However, he is cold and impersonal. I was not comfortable talking to him about my mental disorders at all. As a matter of fact, I would lie about my well-being just to avoid visits with him. He is also very expensive. Be prepared to shovel out 200+ dollars a visit. He laughed at my college degree, told me I would not get a job, and was very evasive about the side effects of a medication I was taking. Eh. I wouldn't recommend him.

I noticed the poor review, and I fervently disagree! Dr. Echols has cared for me for close to 7 years and my experience has been excellent. As someone who suffers from alcoholism, depression and anxiety, he has been an anchor and given me the tools I need as I progress on the path to recovery. He is honest with me, and I can see how hearing the truth might sometimes be an unpleasant experience, but it is a neccassary part of self-development, and the mark of a qualified proffessional.
