Dr. Kurt Haupt, MD

He delivered both my girls and was amazing! He took extra care to make sure I was feeling safe and comfortable with what was going to happen next. His calm bedside manner keeps you calm. Even if things aren't quite "routine" you wouldn't know it. He handles it like he sees it everyday. If things become an emergency he's exactly who you want in the room. I was high risk but never felt nervous because of how he treated me and talked me through things. He does in fact crack jokes, but they're dry and sarcastic. If you don't get it he moves on. He doesn't exactly have the time to explain his jokes to those who don't get it. I and my sisters who both delivered with him think he is hilarious, but it's because we understand sarcasm. He would even come in when he wasn't on call or come in on his days off just to make sure we and our babies were doing well. Fantastic doctor!

Worst bedside manner ever. Ignored my complaints of pain when they came up (VERY unusual for either of my pregnancies), and wrote me off when delivery was over, though the pain issue led to unrelated surgery. He may be good at what he's known for (multiples) but if you want a doc who is going to listen to you, communicate with you, and give a flying &@%$, Dr. Haupt is not the guy for you. Wouldn't recommend him to anyone.
