If I could give her negative stars, I would.
This is a “doctor” who is dependent on writing prescriptions. If you ask her questions she’s unable to answer, or happen to get teary eyed, she WILL banish you from ever coming back to UT adult neurology. She is NOT friendly (I’m a Caucasian female with neuro issues that has been sick for a while. She knows NOTHING about chiari malformation, at all. She says, “I know of chiari malformation, but it’s not a specialty”, yet she wanted to prescribe migraine meds instead of refer me to someone more specialized. I asked nicely several times over a 6 month period, crickets. When you ask questions via my chart portal, she doesn’t answer. Wouldn’t recommend this person to anyone unless they enjoy being mistreated. When she banished me, she did it via certified letter, and regular letter. 2 letters. I tried to reach out to the hospital to inquire about seeing a different doctor. Sadly, they supported this. What happened to patient care????

Great Experience
It was easy to schedule an appointment - the office contacted me after the referral was placed by PCP. The front desk staff and MA team were friendly and attentive. Responded to MyChart messages. Listened to concerns and went above and beyond to help me access medications.

No follow though
Dr. Brown does not follow through after tests and does not initiate contacting you when tests come back positive. Takes literally weeks for them to read and to reply to messages, including ones like, "The test results are partly positive. Do I need to make an apt with you?". I only knew some were not normal due to auto release of the results. The office staff don't pass on messages, don't read the medical record system messages (it is the nurse's responsibility to read them and alert the doctor is a response is needed). When a test was done in office she did take the time to answer questions but what goes on outside of that compromises care so that is positive.

Horrible service
I came way to Houston from out of town to see Dr. Brown, a 2 hour drive. I was 20 minutes late due to traffic. I called ahead of time to advise them that I would be a little late due to the traffic. They said OKAY. And then when I got there they refused to see me. After THEIR office was the ones who reschedule my appointment that I had originally set. I 10/10 would not recommend this office to my worst nightmare. They literally did not care about the inconvenience or even attempt to remedy the situation.

Bed side manner leaves much to be desired. She doesn’t listen nor ask the patient questions that may help her form care plan tailored to each patient, you see she has her plan of care all worked out before she even sets foot in the room.
