Dr. Wong had great bedside manner, took her time explaining, listened to my concerns, and did her due diligence before rushing to surgery. Her conservative and thorough approach gave me a lot of confidence in her as a surgeon.

I scheduled surgery at UAB GI Surgery and the experience has been very disappointing. I would not recommend this clinic! 1st appointment waited for 4 hours in a room. Was told to message in portal for any needs. Did that twice after surgery and messages were never opened so I called 3 days later and when I got the call back was chastised for using portal (as if this was my fault!) and told basically that I was bothering them and to go somewhere else for care. A few days later still having problems post surgery and CALLED to get message to nurse, no one ever called me back. Had my post op appointment and was told they would follow up with me and that was 2 days ago. If you want surgery only with zero patient care pre or post op then this is the place to go. Feels like this is a surgery mill practice. I will not be going back to UAB for any surgeries after this experience!
