Been seeing her for years, no real issues.
I’ve been seeing Dr. Smith for under ten years, after finding her name in a migraine listing. I’ve found her to be helpful in trying to find a medication that helps me. When I lost my insurance, she provided me with samples until I could get on a program to get my medication for free, saving me over $600 a month. Other samples she still gives me. She’s good about filling for prior authorizations, that I didn’t even think of, saving me more money. Her staff has always been good, helpful and pleasant. If I’ve ever had an emergency, they always have gotten me in asap, and let the doctor know in case she could do something before I could get in. Compared to other neurologists I’ve seen for migraines, she’s a saint.

I like her, but could be better.
She does remember her last visit, and asks about it. She always asks what meds you need, and where to send it. She applies for prior authorization on meds I didn’t even know she had. But it did end up helping me. She always seems rushed, but if there was something new and serious she would have taken the time to listen to you.

My husband was admitted to the hospital in September for COVID and being in a state of delirium one morning upon waking. After completing an EEG, but never actually seeing/talking to my husband in person because “he was positive and she had two young children at home”, she diagnosed him as having a COVID induced seizure. She put him on an extremely high dose of anti seizure medication that instantly made him feel terrible. She also informed him that he couldn’t drive for six months. She didn’t call me until 10:15 in the evening, after telling my husband she’d be calling me in an hour or two to talk at 1:00 in the afternoon. Needless to say I was a wreck. After a week on the meds I called her office to get him an appointment and she never called me back. Her secretary did get him in for the following week. After her meeting with him again she cut his medication in half but was adamant that he did have a seizure and that he still couldn’t drive. My husband decided to get a second opinio

If I could give Dr. Smith negative stars, I would. I was hospitalized and she diagnosed me with cervicogenic migraines. She told my husband and myself that her seeing me in the hospital was my referral and she would treat me. She said to pick up samples when I got out. After I was released, I talked to her nurse on the phone and she was rude. She told me Dr. Smith wouldn't treat me. I went the next day to pick up my prescription and one nurse said Dr. Smith would treat me but Dr. Smith's rude nurse said Smith wouldn't until I saw a doctor from the Cleveland Clinic. My husband had to beg for Smith to help me. She finally took pity and refilled a couple of prescriptions. I had full body seizures with one of the meds and Smith won't prescribe me anything else to help prevent my migraines. Her staff is rude. I am SOL! I'm only 45. I can't drive anymore because of this. I am in constant pain and bedridden 75% of the time. I HATE MY LIFE!! Only recommend Smith to someone you hate.

Takes the appropriate time, not rushing you out OR lollygagging. Perfect, I’m not going to a dr appointment for socialization; answer each other’s questions, check everything is good and on with it. I came to her after experiencing a very rude neurologist and felt very comfortable with her and her knowledge. Always has time for any questions or worries and she keeps everything very professional, honest and kind. If only ever doctor was this way. Highly recommend.

I was apprehensive after reading some reviews, however, the dr i saw didn't fit The description of cold cruel and uncaring. After 3 mri’s, fighting with insurance, 3 or 4 other drs and the Clinic. Dr Smith gave me RELIEF and took away my pain. Going forward she can wear whatever monster suit she wants to so long as she takes the pain away. Thank you Dr. Smith??

I’ve been seeing Dr. Smith about 4 years. She’s not empathetic, not engaged, treating me more as a bother than a patient. She never was very caring, I just didn’t notice since I got relief from the migraines except for recently. Since then it just seems like she thinks I’m a bother. Her MA is more caring.

Dr Smith has been my neuro for 4 years now, I suffer migraines with aura( dizzy spells) & suffered from black outs. She has worked very closely with me to help with my progress & adjust medications as needed. I do still suffer with vertigo(aura)& migraines but no more black outs & the migraines are not as severe as they once were. I recommend & appreciate Dr Smith.

"Ms. Smith" is a striking misrepresentation of medicine and patient care. Her complete disregard for devising a plan along with the patient to ensure short/long-term success is completely undeniable. She lacks professionalism and bed-side manner as it relates to her condescending tone, arrogance, and personal views regarding treatment. She should no longer be allowed to treat patients, neither voice her unwarranted personal views and "lines in the sand". I would never recommend her!!

I saw Dr. Smith in January 2017 as a new patient for migraine headaches, dizziness, and seizure like symptoms. She never did an exam, only asked a few questions, and recommended an MRI and to start taking Topamax even after I told her I had eye pressure, borderline glaucoma, and severe chronic dry eye disease. Thank God I checked with my opthamologist, as the Topamax was deadly for my condition. She never called with the results of my MRI, and never gave me a diagnosis for my seizures. BEWARE!

I was referred to Dr Smith by my primary care physician. It took the staff 72 hours to return my phone call requesting and appointment. When I did speak with someone, they were cold and rude. I decided to choose another doctor.

Dr. Smith is one of the best doctors I have ever been to. She took time to make sure she listened to every detail of my symptom and never rushed or interrupted me. I could tell she genuinely cared about my symptoms and tried everything she could think of in order to help me. I could see her concern and genuine desire to help on her facial expressions. Her kindness is something I will surely remember. I highly recommend Dr. Smith.
