Dr. Silvia abused me as a patient
I really wanted to like Dr. Silvia but she singled me out, gave me lots of private attention, told me all about her personal life and mental health issues, and said she loved me. When I finally got the courage to end the “therapy” she provided weekly to me only, and call her out on her behavior, she gave a victim blaming sorry-not-sorry apology. She retaliated against me and stopped prescribing meds, dropped follow up for my Hep C and became incredibly vindictive. The damage done to my mental health is unreal. She promised to never give up on me, that she would always be there for me, made so many flattering comments that got progressively weirder and sometimes sexualized. She may seem caring and concerned and helpful but in truth she is narcissistic, controlling, and violates boundaries. I thought she was amazing at first, then I discovered how she was grooming me, using power and control and refusing to truly apologize for the severe damage she caused. If you see her, run!

Dr. Silvia is the best doctor I ever had. If she couldn't help me with something, she knew who could. So easy to talk with. I miss her.
